Abstract

A mounting for a bollard comprises a planar structure having means to receive and secure a foot of the bollard, the planar structure being adapted to be set in concrete or like material, and the area of the planar structure being large in relation to the depth of the structure such that the structure can be placed in locations with little available excavation depth, while still providing substantial resistance to overturning of a bollard set in the structure.
