Abstract

A hard shell Emergency Evacuation Bag System A has a docking station E, a removable torch B and intergral radio. Additionally the bag has a large top handle D and shoulder straps with fitted whistle and may include a multi-function tool and hydration system. The docking station E is able to charge the bag's removable torch and radio via a mains connection I and can activate the torch when the power is removed. The docking station may also activate a GPS tracker in the bag when taken from the docking station. The docking station can display fault or non fault status of the system F. The Emergency Evacuation Bag System may have an earthquake alarm and Gas sensor alert system J. The Emergency Evacuation bag system may contain a portable Solar and wind-up charger and have LumiNova® coating.

Description

TITLE: Emergency Bag
BACKGROUND:
This invention relates to an Emergency Evacuation Bag System.
When there is an major emergency, for example earthquake, fire, flood or man-made disaster, people need to evacuate there homes immediately and should have a emergency bag near there front door to take with them as they exit.
However the presently marketed emergency bags / Go bags are not free standing and unattractively designed therefore not desirable to put next in the entrance-way. Furthermore, they are not functionally designed for there use with important items such as the torch, radio and whistle being inside the bag and thus not easily accessible to the wearer in an emergency. Additionally modern technology such as earthquake alarm, GPS tracking, Gas sensor monitoring, hydration systems active charging and activation of torch are absent The purposed invention consists of a hard shell Emergency Evacuation Bag System giving the bag stability to stand near and entrance way. The Emergency Evacuation Bag System will additionally have a docking station which cradles the bag.
The Emergency Evacuation Bag System has a torch functionally fitted into the front of the shell for easy access during an emergency. Furthermore the torch is charged via the docking station's main connection and activates automatically during a power outage.
Additionally the Emergency Evacuation Bag System has a whistle fitted on to a shoulder strap. The bag has a large top handle to make it easy to grab and cushioned back.
The Emergency Evacuation Bag System has an integrated radio which tunes to public radio broadcasts when activated by pushing a button on the shoulder straps.
The Emergency Evacuation Bag System is partitioned in to 2 sections with pockets to allow easy access to vital emergency items such as first aid kit, Emergency food etc. The docking station has indicator light to confirm the fault or non-fault status of the Emergency Evacuation Bag System.
Preferably the Emergency bag's shell coating uses LumiNova® to glow in the dark and a reflective strip around the sides.
Preferably the Emergency Evacuation bag system has an accessible multifunction tool.
Preferably the Emergency Evacuation bag system has an hydration system to provide water to the wearer.
Preferably the Emergency evacuation bag system includes a portable solar panel and wind-up generator power station inside the bag for charging the bag, torch and mobile phones.
Preferably the Emergency evacuation bag's removable torch can be converted in to a lantern Preferably the Emergency Evacuation bag is also fitted with a 525 tracking system which activates when the bag is removed from the docking station.
Preferably the Emergency bag's removable torch will also activate if an Earthguake alert sound or gas sensor alarm.
Preferably the docking station has an earthquake alert system which operates through internet connection to local earthquake monitoring information.
Preferably the docking station has a gas sensor alarm system.
Figure 1: Shows the front view of the Emergency Evacuation Bag System with docking station Figure 2: Shows the side view of the Emergency Evacuation Bag System with outline of the removable torch Figure 3: Shows the back view of the Emergency Evacuation Bag System with integrated whistle and radio system. As well as preferably hydration system pipe and easily accessible multifunction tool.
Figure 4: Shows the partition storage system of the Emergency Evacuation Bag System.
Figure 5: Shows the preferably portable solar and wind-up power station stored inside the bag for the Emergency Evacuation bag system.
In Figure 1, the Emergency Evacuation Bag System has a hard shell A. In the front of this hard shell has a removable torch B which is cradled into the shell with hand access C, therefore easy for the evacuating person to take as they pick up the bag. There is also a large top handle D. The docking station E has indicator lights to show fault or non-fault status of bag F. The docking station also has an electrical connection to the bag for charging and activating the torch H. Preferably the docking station can also activate GPS tracking of the bag as well. Preferably the docking station has a display and alarm speaker J to alert of an earthquake or Gas sensor activation. The docking station has a connection to Mains power I. Figure 2, shows the side view of the Emergency Evacuation Bag System with hard shell A, fitted torch B handle C Soft cushioned back D, Shoulder strap with mounted whistle E, Preferably reflective strip around edge F and feet to stabilize bag C. Figure 3, shows the back view of the Emergency Evacuation Bag System with the fitted whistle A, radio button D and radio speaker E. Preferably on the shoulder straps there is a hydration system B and accessible multifunction tool C. Figure 4, show the view of the Emergency Evacuation Bag System when opened. The bag opens out into 2 main compartments A. Inside these compartments are pockets for emergency items C. Preferably there is also a portable power station inside the Emergency evacuation bag.
Figure 5, Shows the preferably portable power station for the Emergency Evacuation Bag System. The power station has a wind-up generator A with a folding handle B. Furthermore the power station has solar panels C. Additionally it has connectors D to Charge the Emergency Evacuation Bag System's bag, removable torch and connection for universal mobile phone charger connectors
