Abstract

There is described an annular clamp comprising a split ring, a first loop (132 a figure 9), a first protrusion 138a and a first trunnion bar 116. The split ring has first and second ends 112a, 112b together adapted to receive a threaded bolt 120 for drawing the ends towards one another so as to tighten the annular clamp. The first loop is at the first end of the split ring. The first protrusion is at an edge of the first loop and protrudes into a space within the first loop. The first trunnion bar is adapted to be received within the first loop. The first trunnion bar has a slot 136a for receiving the threaded bolt. A first end of the first trunnion bar comprises a first notch 166 adapted to cooperate with the first protrusion such that both axial and rotational movement of the first trunnion bar are limited to some extent when the first trunnion bar is received within the first loop.
