Abstract

A chewable toothbrush for a dog comprises a resiliently compressible body C, and bristles B extending through and outwardly from the body. The resiliently compressible nature of the body causes the exposed length of the bristles to change as the body is chewed, which assists in cleaning the teeth and gum line. The compressible body C may be formed of a rubber material. The body may include a harder plastics outer body A. The bristles may be attached to a central core D provided in the main body C.

Description

Dog toothbrush Design brief I have come with the idea of designing a tooth brush for dogs; it would be made to help preventing the excess of tartar and gum diseases in dogs.
The tooth brush would act as a chewing toy, made of soft plastic material that would increase and decrease size according to its engineer shape, this would help the thousands of bristles to fit between the teeth and the most difficult places.
Device description
The dog toothbrush would act as a daily dental cleaning device that would encourage the dog to brush his own teeth, acting as a rubber bone.
The toothbrush would be designed from top to bottom with bristles on every part of the device in a circular shape. This way, as it's been chew by the dog the bristles would go inside the dog teeth down to the gum line and remove dental plaque build up.
The shape of the toothbrush would be technically be engineer to improve performance; as it would be made in 3 parts, bristles, rubber and hard surface plastic.
Abstract description
The toothbrush as a whole is compromised with following parts and description, outer body (1), made of hard plastic material, main body (2) made of soft plastic material to increase comfort as chewing and finally bristles (3) which would be attached to the main body surface in a circular way.
Drawing in pg3 would act as a reference to describe the abstract description which would be in a different file.
