Abstract

A corner flag comprising a pole with two elements which can be secured together using cooperating screw threads A and B. One end of the pole may have a long thin spike C to make it easier to secure it in the ground.

Description

2 Piece Corner Flag / Sports Training Pole I have designed a 2 piece corner flag which can also be used as a sports training pole.
The corner flag is used to mark out a corner of a pitch by sticking it into the ground, the training pole can be used for various exercises on a training field. The conventional corner flag comes in one piece and is very difficult to transport around especially when transporting by car, there are some corner flags which come in two but are designed to slot into each other which takes away there strength and they get easily broken when either being placed into the ground or when contact is made with a ball.
The pole I have designed is a 2 piece corner flag which has a male and female thread put into the middle sections of the pole as shown in (fig 1 a:male, b: female). This would still keep the pole's strength when screwed together and will join together as a solid full length 1 piece corner flag as shown in (fig 2 a,b). it also comes with a longer spike at the bottom of the corner flag as shown in (fig 1,2 c) to insert easier and more safely into the ground unlike more common corner flags where they have a small point at the bottom which is harder to insert and comes out of the ground when force is put onto it.

  1. Claims: 1, A corner flag/training pole that comes in two pieces is easier and safer to transport around.
  2. 2, A corner flag which has a solid male and female thread inside it will keep its strength once screwed together making it as stable and robust as a 1 piece pole.
