Abstract

An ergonomically designed golf club grip incorporating contours around the body which are determined by the moulding of a golfer's grip morphed with a regular golf grip. The grip ensures the correct positioning of the golfers hands on the golf club, as the contours will only feel natural if the correct grip is adopted. The grip may comprise a cylindrical body portion fabricated of an elastometric material with limited resilience, the body portion having an open lower end for positioning over the upper end of a golf club shaft and a closed cap upper end. Optionally, the positioning of the golf grip on the golf club is determined by an arrow design on the top end that points upwards when applied correctly. Alternatively the contours may be a molding of a professional golfer's grip on a golf club grip.

Description
It's a fact that the majority of golfers never break 90 on par 72 golf courses. Many factors play a part but the correct positioning of your hands on the golf club is a fundamental requirement to deliver a proper golf shot. This invention takes a moulding of a golfers grip and morphs the contours of the impression with a standard golf grip, thus ensuring that exactly the same grip is applied every time to the golf club. The scope of this invention goes from having a professional golf players grip on golf clubs to having your own golf clubs tailor made for you. For many golfers the opportunity of owning the same golf clubs as a top golfer along with that professionals grip moulded into the golf grip means that there are fewer areas to worry about to improve their game. Golfers who get measured up for golf clubs will now be able to have their own grip applied to their golf clubs. It is to be understood that the invention is not limited to these areas or to its description and illustrations. It is also to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting. The invention of an ergonomically design grip incorporating the actual grip of a sports person can equally apply to any piece of sports equipment which requires the user to consistently hold the equipment the same way to achieve a better performance.

Claims (7)

  1. The objectives of the invention to provide an ergonomically designed golf club grip incorporating the actual grip of a golfer moulded into the golf grip design are: 1. To ensure the correct positioning of the golfers grip on the golf club, as the contours will only feel natural if the correct grip is adopted.
  2. 2. The correct grip will assist the golfer to deliver a truer golf shot.
  3. 3. Applying the same grip every time a club is picked up will help the golfer take out many variables to achieving a truer golf shot.
  4. 4. It will give the golfer an opportunity to adopt their favourite golfers grip on any set of golf clubs.
  5. 5. It will give the golfer an opportunity to have their golf grips made to measure with their grip.
  6. 6. Will assist with the teaching of the fundamentals of golf by adopting the correct grip.
  7. 7. Will assist golfers to emulate the professional players by having the same clubs and the same grip there are fewer things to concentrate on.
