Abstract

This invention is a solution to the escape of light around the edges of roller blinds, blackout blinds and other types of blinds and curtains. It comprises a U shaped portion which is indented and narrowed to push back onto the posterior arm. It is formed out of plastic or other man made material in long strips which can be cut to the required length. It can be secured to the window surround or frame via double sided self adhesive, pre-applied glue, strong adhesive or screws. It may also comprise an enlarged top section to cover the roller blind mechanism.

Description
1. cross sectional design, with ends of U indented and narrowed to push blind back on to posterior arm and prevent light escape (see diagram 1). The width and depth of the U may be of variable sizes to allow different sized poles and rods. The front and back sides may be asymmetric in length.
2. Made of plastic or other man-made material that is easily cut with a knife or stencil blade 3. Manufactured in long strips that can be cut easily to length ( diagram2) 4. Secured to window surround or frame, walls or other fixtures by already -applied, strong double-sided self-adhesive or pre-applied glue. It may also be fixed by strong adhesive glue applied to wall and invention or by screws fixing invention to wall, etc 5. The vertical modules may in addition have the following adaptations: a. The upper end of the module may be curved outwards to accommodate and cover the roller mechanism of the blind b. The upper end may have a perforation or hole in it to allow the cord of the roller blind to pass through 6. The lower horizontal module may have the following features: a. A notch in the middle of its free edge to allow access to lower edge of blind 7. The upper module is adapted in the following way to accommodate the blind mechanism; a. Much wider and larger depth b. May have asymmetrically sized front and back sides c. May have adhesion or fastening to two surfaces being upper and posterior surfaces
