Abstract

A shopping bags storage unit can hold a number of folded eco or re-usable shopping bags 5 in a secure position 4. The unit has an attachment 6 that will secure the shopping bags storage unit to the front of a shopping trolley 7, and may have a handle 2 for transportation when not attached to the trolley. A horizontal advertising strip 3 may be located on the unit for advertising exposure. The unit may be removed from the shopping trolley and transported in a vehicle boot by means of an additional attachment (1, figure 1) provided in the boot. The unit is intended to provide a convenient way to transport re-usable shopping bags to and from the shops.

BACKGROUND
This invention relates to a transportable portable unit that stores shopping bags in a compact space saving position. When a shopper goes to a store, they rely on plastic bags either being supplied or charged for. This invention will ultimately reduce a carbon foot print. It will save the store and shopper money by its reusable capabilities along with providing the manufacturer advertising exposure.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
To over come this: when a shopper goes shopping, the unit is simply taken from its location, in the boot of a car and transported by its handle, then positioned at the front of the shopping trolley with its own inverted L attachments. In position the folded shopping bags can be accessed with ease. The unit has its own space for advertising exposure.

ADVANTAGES
With the additional advantage of a horizontal top strip, where advertising can be displayed, i.e. the car manufacturer, or if provided by a store a logo; or any other interested party.
Car manufactures could purchase unit and provide with their car and stores may purchase unit and sell to customers to ultimately reduce their costs in providing plastic bags. Third party interested could also be generated Below this strip the five or three folded shopping bags will sit in their position, vertical ladder like; each held in place by plastic flexible grips, allowing for easy access to remove each bag.
Once the trolley is at the checkout and the food has been emptied and placed on the checkout conveyor belt, then payment made to the cashier, the shopper simply takes a bag and places the open bag in the shopping trolley, and then packs each bag. The trolley is then pushed back to the car; the shopping bags are then removed and placed in the boot of the car, along with the unit. The trolley is then returned to its original destination...
Once home, shopper removes shopping bags from boot; removes shopping from the bags.
The shopping bags are then simply folded and placed back in unit and returned to car, ready for the next outing.
The unit may also be left in the car and only one or two bags removed.
The shopping bags storage unit is environmental friendly and has the capability for the shopper to repeatedly use the unit, this will aid with promoting less expenditure on purchasing plastic shopping bags and as a result help the shopper to contribute to ultimately reducing carbon footprints and help save our planet. The supplier of the unit with also gain valuable advertising exposure.

DESCRIPTIONS
An example of the invention will now be described by refening to the accompanying drawings.i/ 1 & 1/2 Figure 1 shows the unit will fit and be stored onto purpose built plastic handle attached to vertical side of the rear seat, boot facing, with Velcro to secure.
Figure 2 shows the unit will be made wholly of plastic when manufactured and the shopping bags can be tailored to suit -more advertising.
Figure 3 shows the side view of the unit.
Figure 4 shows a compact version of unit.
Figure 5 shows rear of unit with its attachment connection to shopping trolley.
In figure 1, this holding unit 1 will be attached to the rear seat inside of the boot of the car, to support and store the shopping bags stoing unit.
Figure 2, shows the front of the unit, with 2 the handle. 3 the advertising strip. 4 are the grips to secure shopping bags and 5 one of the shopping bags in position.
Figure 3, is a side profile, with 2 the handle, 3 the advertising strip and 4 the flexible plastic securing attachments. 6 is the inverted L connection to the shopping trolley 7.
Figure 4 shows front of the unit, compact version with 2 the handle. 3 the advertising strip. 4 are the grips to secure shopping bags and 5 one of the shopping bags in position.
Figure 5 shows the rear of the unit, with 2 the handle, 3 the rear of the advertising strip and 6 the attachment connections to shopping trolley.

  1. Page 4 Claims 1. A shopping bags storing unit with built in attachments to allow connection and positioning on the front of a shopping trolley single handed and with minimum effort.
  2. 2. A shopping bags storage unit according to claim 1, which incorporates a space to promote advertising exposure potential.
  3. 3. A shopping bags storage unit according to claim 1, with securing facility to contain folded eco shopping bags in a vertical ladder like fashion for easy access.
  4. 4. A shopping bags storage unit according to claim 1, with its attached handle to support unit during transportation.
  5. 5. A shopping bags storage unit according to claim 1, that will contain eco shopping bags and will be made available to offer choice of number of folded bags to store.
  6. 6. A shopping bags storing unit which comes with an additional attachment to secure unit in car boot.
