Abstract

247,057. Davidson, F. A. June 4, 1925. Elevated railways.-Scaffold supports for use on pavement canopies which support runways are provided with removable heads 7 which are adapted for supporting the structure and also to engage connecting rods. Each head has. a split clamp 9 whereby it is secured to the tubular upright 5 and side webs 11 carrying a seat 12 on which the structure to be supported is clamped by pivoted clamps 30. Each web has an opening 13 and disposed within each opening is a clamp 15, 23 for receiving the connecting rods 14 the part 23 of the clamp being pivoted on an adjusting screw 20 to adjust for alignment and level. The supported structure 33, 34, 35 is clamped by clamps 36 to the supporting rail 37.
