Abstract

The board is constructed from three padded ironing trays 2, 3, 4 that can hinge 9 and fold away. The two smaller padded trays 3 and 4 hinge on the larger padded ironing tray 2. The board may be connected to a folding support leg 1 with support arms (6 and 8, Figure 4) and support collars (5 and 7, Figure 4).

Description
This invention relates to a product that makes ironing more practical, easy and eliminates the problems conventional ironing boards create.
An example of this would be bed linen and men's shirts which would require numerous movements over the board to iron the whole garment. With the IMBI these can be carried out with fewer movements and make ironing faster and less tedious. In addition to this long sleeves can be pressed, eliminating creases which cannot be done on a standard board.
The IMBI is simple & cost effective with no fancy frills & expensive gadgets.
It consists of nine pieces as shown in Figure 3 with one large padded ironing tray (part pos 2) connected to two smaller padded ironing trays (pp3 & pp4) by a piano hinge (pp9). The padded ironing tray (pp2) is to be used for larger garments such as shirts and long dresses. The padded ironing tray (pp3) is to be used for trouser legs & children's clothing. The padded ironing tray (pp4) is to be used for long sleeves. When all trays are unfolded the board can then be used for bed linen where minimal moving of the item becomes extremely useful. In Figure 4 it shows the IMBI from the bottom plan where you will see the support collars (pp5 & pp7), and the support arms (pp6 & pp8), which retract inside when the IMBI is not in use or when one of the trays is not in use either. Others items include the leg support stand (ppl) & the release arm (pplO), which are shown in Figure 1 side elevation. Figure 2 shows the IMBI from the front elevation. Claim
