Abstract

The patch comprises an outer waterproof layer land an inner layer 2 impregnated with anti-acne medication which is surrounded by a skin adhesive layer 3. The inner layer may be comprised of gauze. The patch may include decoration on its outer surface. In use the patch is placed over the affected area.

Description

All acne treatment today is in the form of a cream or lotion applied to the skin, or else in tablet form. In society today research has shown that up to 80 % of young people suffer from some form of acne. This more than often creates a social stigma for the person concerned and can lead to mental depression due to the appearance of a spotty skin.

The decorative acne patch has a two fold purpose due to its variable design.

* The first aim of the adhesive acne patch, which is impregnated on the inner layer with anti acne medication, is to reduce the effect of acne by drying out the skin. Thus acting in the same manner as most common creams and lotions on the market do when applied to the effected skin.

The second aim is that these acne patches which come in varies sizes and shapes with outer decorative surfaces, can be arrange in decorative patterns on the effected skin area. As in face art, the random arrangement of decorative sequences and floral designs, create an acceptable image, so these medicated patches will cover the effected area in arranged patterns. This will tend to cover up the acne skin area and will appear less obtrusive. This should give the person concerned more confidence to face society with a spotty skin.

These decorative patches which are waterproof and adhesive can also be placed on the neck and body.

Figure 1 shows an adhesive waterproof patch 1 of fig.! with inner layer 2 of fig. 1 impregnated with anti acne medication. The variable design shape of patch 1 of fig. 1 can vary in shape and size.

With Ref. to Fig 2 of 4/6 Figure 2 shows inner adhesive surface 3 of fig. 2 and inner impregnated anti acne medication layer 2 of fig. 2.

With Ref. to fig. 3 of 4/6 Figure 3 shows a cross-section of the acne patch 1 of fig. 1 outer water- proof surface and inner layer 2 of fig. 2 impregnated with anti acne medi-cation. This is surrounded with the skin adhesive layer 3 of fig.2.

With Ref. to fig 4 of 4/6 Figure 4 shows acne patches 1 of fig. 1 in varies sizes with assorted floral and graphic designs numbers 4, 5, 6, and 7 of fig.4. Where 4, 5, and 6 are impregnated with anti acne medication. Where 7 of flg.4 is an adhesive patch design but not impregnated with anti acne medication. It only forms a support for arranging a pattern on the effected skin area as in fig, 6 of 4/6.

Figure 5 shows the left cheek of a young person suffering from skin acne 8 of flg.5. The aim of the impregnated acne patches 1 of fig. 1 is to cover these acne spots 8 of fig. 5.

Figure 6 shows the decorative anti acne impregnated patches 4, 5, and 6, of fig. 4 of 4/6. Plus the non impregnated decorative patches 7 Of fig.4 of 4/6., arranged in a decorative and unobtrusive pattern on the effected skin.

This form of facial art to hide the appearance of acne ref. Fig 5 of 4/6 has two fold purpose, one to administer anti acne medication to the effected area 8 of fig. 5 of 4/6. Secondly to create a less unobtrusive appearance of an acne infected skin, be it on the face, neck and upper body.

Claims

Claims.1. Claim the use of impregnated gauze adhesive patches with anti acne medication for the purpose of applying to skin be it facial, neck,chest or back of persons suffering from some form of acne.
2. Claim the idea of using different shapes and sizes of impregnated deco-rative patches solely for the treatment of acne.
3. Claim the idea of the application of decorative impregnated patches to reduce the social stigma caused by acne skin when placed in a unobtru-sive decorative pattern on the skin effected.
