Abstract

The invention relates to a liquid dispenser comprising two major parts, a flexible container and a dispenser unit 4. The flexible container comprises a hard top 3 which extends 5 to carry the dispenser unit 4. Liquid travels to the dispenser unit via a tube 6 whose opening is controlled by a valve 9 operated by a float valve 16. The valve 16 also controls the outlet 11 of the dispenser. As water in a flush cistern drops, pressure is exerted on the flexible container as a siphoning action forces liquid out of the container into the dispenser which holds the liquid until the water level in the cistern rises and operates the float, at which point the liquid flows out of the outlet 11 of the dispenser into the cistern water. The dispenser and container are fitted into any flush cistern in an immersed position.

Description

AUTOMATIC LIQUID DISPENSER WITH FLEXIBLE BOULE
DESCRIPTION
This invention relates to an automatic Uquid dispenser with fiexibe bottle, which is ideal for use in toilet flush cistern.
Undoubtedly, toilet bowls are the most unsanitary objects householders, or members of the pub'ic as far as pub'ic lavatories are concerned, come across many times dai'y. Therefore, toilet bowls require regular disinfection, and this is done usually by using a toilet brush in conjunction with a liquid disinfectant; and because this is not done automatically, it is not performed each time after a toilet has been used. As wel', pouring a cleaning liquid or disinfectant directly into a toi'et bowl has its draw backs. Tablets are also used in flash cisterns, but tend to give higher concentrations in the beginning as they dissolve rapidly and do not offer alternatives, Some earlier toilet flush dispensers have been designed, but never went into production because theoretically they were good ideas, however they are not viable; because space inside flush cisterns is considerably limited without mentioning the changes of pressures within the cisterns and within the dispensers, which render these devices complete'y unstable and therefore useless.
The present invention, AUTOMATIC LIQUID DISPENCER WITH FLEXIBLE BO7TLE, solves all the problems mentioned above without a doubt. This apparatus comprises two major parts, a flexible bottle which would contain the liquid to be dispensed and a dispenser to dispense the iquid contained in the flexible bottle. At this point the question arises as to why it is a flexible bottle; the answer to that is that the bottle containing the liquid to be dispensed has to possess the ability of reducing its volume as the liquid is sucked out of it in order to remain immersed and also, this is helped by a dispenser that does not allow air to be sucked back into the flexible bottle. The combination of the latter qualities helps avoid the buildup of air and vacuum inside the bottle, a definite scenario in the case of hard non-flexible, liquid container, either of which would cause the bottle to float. As well, a flexible bottle is subject to changes in water pressures in the flush cistern, which is needed in this case. The other advantage of having a flexible bottle is to allow it to be fitted inside the sma'lest of toilet flushes, slotted between a cistern's body and non-moving cistern components--there is always space for it and a tighter space would only be of advantage to the apparatus as tightness would provide extra pressure on the flexible bottle, The flexible bottle unit is to be made out of a substance that is denser than water, such as rubber or PVC coated rubber, in order to sink into the water of the flush cistern; but the dispenser unit could be made out of preferably stainless steel, non-porous plastics, or a combination of these two.
This product is designed especially for use within toilet flush cisterns, but could be used in similar environments.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:-Figure 1. Shows a view of a larger side the Automatic Liquid Dispenser With Flexible Bottle1 with all parts put together.
Figure 2. Shows a view of the Automatic Liquid Dispenser With Flexible Bottle, from the thinner profile, where the dispenser unit hangs to the dispenser system.
Figure 3. Shows a cross section of the dispenser unit and a cross section of part of the flexible bottle unit including the top of the Automatic Liquid Dispenser With flexible Bottle.
Referring to the drawings, the Automatic Liquid Dispenser With Flexible Bottle comprises two major parts; a flexible bottle unit 1 which holds liquid to be dispensed, and a dispenser unit 4 to dispense the liquid. The flexible bottle possesses a hard top Fig. 1 and 3, 3 attached to it to which a stopper 2 is fitted to allow refill. As well, the hard top 3 supports the dispenser 4 via the extension 5 and the dispensing tube 6 which transfers the liquid from the bottle into the dispenser. The dispenser 4 comprises of the main body 4, a vent 13, a cup 14 and a washer valve Fig. 3, 9 attached to the stem 8 which is operated by the floater 15. The floater is contained within a compartment 16 that allows it to move in a straight line. Liquid travels from the flexible bottle to the dispenser unit by both pressure of water in the cistern exerted on the outside walls of the bottle and siphoning.
