Abstract

A scribing tool comprises two bars attached together with two spacers at each end to hold the bars rigid and parallel. Two rollers may be attached at one end to allow the tool to be guided along the surface being scribed. A block may be fitted between the two bars that can be fixed at any point with a grub screw along the two bars to allow for any distance of a scribe up to 150mm.

SCRIBE-IT
Scribe tool for use when scribing to an uneven surface, Such as skirting boards to an uneven floor, worktops to an uneven wall, architraves etc. A simple block that will enable a pencil to be secured through it, slides along 2 rods and can be fixed at any point with a turn screw.
Two rollers fixed at one end allow the tool to run along the uneven surface thus transferring the exact shape to the piece being fitted. a

Claims (4)

  1. Claims 1 A scribing tool comprising two bars attached together with a space, with two spacers (one at each end) to hold the bars rigid and parallel.
  2. 2 Two rollers / wheels attached at one end to allow the tool to be guided along the surface being scribed.
  3. 3 A block fitted between the two bars that can be fixed at any point with a grub screw along the two bars to allow for any distance of a scribe up to 150mm.
