Abstract
The present invention relates to methods and apparatuses for enabling optimization of trigger parameters related to an area event triggered session between a Secure User Plane Location (SUPL) enabled terminal (SET) (22, 302) and a SUPL supported location server (20, 306). Based on detected changes of terminal conditions (step 204), trigger parameters for the area event trigger are updated (step 208). This allows for a dynamic adoption of the area event triggered parameters to changes of for instance the power status of the terminal or the set of possible positioning methods.
