Abstract

This invention relates to a device for holding liquid that removes lime scale from the nozzle of a tap. The Tap Zapper holds the lime scale remover liquid i.e. vinegar, or high street products and only requires a single operator. Made of transparent material the levels of lime scale remover can be seen at all times. The tight fitting top seal results in minimal evaporation of the lime scale remover liquid, and keeps the tap nozzle immersed at all times during the cleaning process. This seal can also assists in the reduction of any unpleasant odors of the lime scale remover used. The addition of the removable sponge sitting in the base of the device, gives the added advantage of removing more stubborn lime scale by gently rotating the device in situ. This device is highly visible, light weight, compact, reusable, fits various tap styles and sizes.

Description

The Ta Zairner This Invention relates to a device for holding liquid that removes lime scale from the nozzle of a tap.
The two most common methods currently used are: I Putvrnegaronan absorbentcloth, secure onthe end of the tap. coverwithaplastic bag/film, leave for a period of lime for the vinegar to dissolve the lime scale (overnight).
2 Use a high street chemical solution and spray or wipe on and leave for the requisite duration The problems with the current available methods are: Oolion I -This Is a cumbersome approach where the individual has to find the equipment to assemble. It looks unattractive and isn't easy to fix into place by one person.
Oclion 2-Using chemical sprayfloams can dry out as there is no protection from evaporation whilst the chemicals are working. If you use a brush to apply the chemical (to speed up the application process) this can result in the chemical being sprayed Into/on eyes/skin and other surfaces, all of which could be potentially dangerous/harmful.
There Is no obvious visible indicator (during the cleaning process when the chemical is dlssaMng the lime scale), that there Is any solution on the tap nozzle(s), as ft tends to dry and drip off during the cleaning process. I.e. if someone comes to use the taps (and is not aware that cleaning Is taking place) and requires water (to drink) there Is the possibility of getting contaminated water, unless an amount Is run off first (after removing the chemical), again this could be harmful/dangerous.
