Abstract

A student debit card which is intended primarily for food and non-alcoholic drinks allows the purchase of goods only if there are funds available on the card. The card account can be topped up any time and by anyone (parents, family, friends) and used only by a registered holder whose signature is on the reverse of the card and who knows the PIN number.

Physical description: plastic
Size: standard credit card size: 8,5 cm X 3.5 cm Front side: green fine lines like painted with a rough brush, on the topf middle of the card there is a word "students" and bellow that "food card" with black bold letters.
Bellow is name of the card holder. On the iight hand side -spreading to the right bottom corner there are small pictures of bre&L In the bottom left hand corner of the card there is a unique registration number-Cards start from number 01.
Back side: On the top -magnetic stripe Middle of the backside: logo of company which uses the card and text: far healthier generations.
On the bottom -small print legal warning "This card is a property of: ... (Name of the shop), who reserve the right to decline issue or withdraw the card at any time. Please read carefully the instructions Any unauthorised copy or use is strictly forbidden. thi card is strictly NON ALCHOHOL AND NON TOBACCO CARD" Use and features Of the card: Similar to a Gift Card -it can be pre-paid with a set amount While the Gift card releases the whole amount at once -the Students card releases the amount according to the value of the purchase (like any payment card), but, one can only purchase goods if there are funds available on the card. The card can be topped up any tune and by anyone. One cannot purchase any alcohol or tobacco with this card, only food.

Claims (7)

CLAIMS STUDENT FOOD CARD
1. Student Food Card is similar to a Debit Card with regards to use and can be prepaid with a set amount.
2. The Students Card releases the amount according to the value of the purchase.
This means that one can only purchase goods if there are funds available on the card. The card may be used until the funds run out.
3. The card can be topped up any time and by anyone (parents, family, friends).
4. Each card number will act as the account number for the Holder, therefore, payments to the card will be possible via bank transfer, credit or debit card (via a dedicated secure website).
5. The difference between the Student Card and Debit Card is that there will be no overdraft facility on Student Cards or possibility of cash withdrawal.
Furthermore Student Card will be strictly limited to non-alcohol and non-tobacco purchases i.e. only for food and non- alcoholic drinks. The Holder can use the card to purchase food in supermarkets. A typical user would be a student residing away from home; parents can deposit / pay funds into the respective account (against the Card number) to ensure that their daughter! son can purchase the food or drinks regardless of their financial situation.
6. The funds on the card cannot be exchanged for cash (i.e. only purchases can be made).
7. Each card will contain a Holder's signature and will require a PIN for purchases.
