Abstract
An infra-red laser system 4 and a visual laser module 5 mounted together and aligned to provide eye-safe operation. Alignment of the lasers over a usable distance is achieved via a spring 7 and grub screw 8 arrangement. The visual laser is intended to trigger the body's inherent defences (blinking), whilst the infra-red laser carries a modulated communication signal.
