Abstract

A bracket for joining adjacent roof tiling battens, which comprises two c-shaped retainers, one to secure each batten. The bracket also has two fixing holes which enable the bracket and battens retained therein to be fastened to a rafter or joist. The invention negates the need for nailing the battens directly to the rafter which often leads to the battens splitting at the ends. The bracket is manufactured from formed mild steel. The bracket provides an improved joint which is stronger and safer for persons working upon the battens when loading tiles or slates.

to be joined to give support to the joini All joints are weakened areas so this bracket allows for a stronger and safer joint prior to fixing slates or tiles to roof area.

  1. Claims A bracket that can secure and join battens to create a stronger
    and safer joint when persons are walking on battens to load roof with slates or tiles to roof area.
