Abstract
A cylindrical housing 1 may be attached to a wheel 10 via fastening means (not shown). A rotating transparent inner backplate 6 held within said housing may have a plurality of movable brushes, 7 and 8 contained therein. A large rotating brush 7 may be used to clean the face of a wheel rim and a number of smaller bottle like brushes mat be used to penetrate between crevices or spokes of the wheel being cleaned, all of the brushes may rotate and/or be moved back and forth in a reciprocating manner. A water inlet connector 3 may be connected to a hose or tap and a series of jets 5 sprays the wheel, a cleaning chemical may be admitted. A drain 4 may be provided at the base of the device.
Description
Description
Wheelie K' This invention relates to the introduction of an easy car/commercial vehicle wheel clean system.
When cleaning standard car or commercial wheels with traditional cleaning methods and products, there is a tendency to miss difficult to reach areas of the wheels.
Use of traditional methods can lead to a number of difficulties in reaching areas of the wheel[s} and can leave the user being accidentally sprayed in dirty water during the cleaning process.
To overcome this problem the present invention proposes a strong but !ightweight self contained cylindrically shaped unit that as part of its assembly has a transparent rotational back-plate held in position at its circumference which can be rotated 360 degrees in a forward and/or backward motion. The rotating transparent back plate has fitted four horizontally held brushes operated manually by push, pull and twist action.
The purpose of the transparent rotational back plate is to allow the brushes to be located precisely at any one area of the wheel so as to reach between spokes and rims to remove dirt and grime and additionally allows the user to observe work through the transparent back plate.
The unit in practice is introduced to the vehicles wheel and attached to the tyre part of the wheel by two expandable and self adjustable fasteners. The unit has connections to allow for a hose and/or funnel and cleaning fluid apparatus to be connected and water is introduced into the unit by integral pipes fitted with spray nozzles.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows the complete assembly.
Figure 2 shows the cylindrical unit with water pipes/nozzles in position and the inner transparent rotational plate with brush locating holes. 2.
In figure 2. cylindrical unit [1] includes transparent rotational plate [6] which contains central surface brush [7] and three diagonally off-set Brushes [8], In figure 2, the cylindrical unit [1], includes hose/funnel and cleaning fluid connections [3] and drain hole [4] and two fasteners [2].
In figure 2, the cylindrical unit includes water pipes [9], and nozzles [5].
In figure 2, illustrates surface brush [7] with a section missing [12]. 3.
