Abstract
The kit consist of using a coloured vinyl sheet 4 that has an adhesive 5 applied to the back and a protection backing 6 over the adhesive. The backing must be of similar colour with the chosen colour for the repair kit in order to cut the repair kit ensuring the same colour throughout. Applied on top of coloured sheet 4 is a clear lacquer 3 mixed with an etch additive and flexi additive. Then the colour 2 is applied mixed in with flexi additive. Finally clear lacquer 1 mixed with flexi additive and ultra violet sunlight protector is applied. The self adhesive paint will stick onto paint, and thereby repair it. The kit allows for absolute flexibility without damage to the repair kit to maximise the uses on the many contours of a motorbike's bodywork.
Description
<p>STiCK ON PAINT REPAIR/SELF-ADHISIVE PAINT FOR MOTORCYCLES</p>
<p>DISCRIPTION</p>
<p>This invention relates to a device for repairing small scuffs and scratches for multi-coloured motorcycles When a motorcycle incurs a small scuff or light scratch the repair kit will hide such damage. The kit also combines as a cosmetic enhancer at the same time.</p>
<p>The background to this repair kit originated from our motorcycle paint repair shop, this was due the expensive repairs necessary in order to complete a professional paint repair resulting in would be customers having to live with the damage on small areas.</p>
<p>This left the customer with very few options as an alternative repair, theses options are touch up paint which is renowned for an untidy repair. The other choice is to place a sticker or stick on protectors, but these tend to indicate that it is hiding damage due to its shape, size and colour which tends to stand out as non original.</p>
<p>To describe this product it is designed only for motorcycles as this cannot work on other vehicles such as cars etc due to being one colour and is not possible for a repair kit to look discreet enough without the repair kit blending in where as a typical motorcycle has many colours and decals over most of the bodywork allowing our repair kit to blend in without standing out allowing the repair kit flexibility using any of the contrasting colours to be placed anywhere on the motorcycle. This can be used permanent repair /temporarv repair (whilst waiting for replacement or repairs at convenient time and also is used as a cosmetic enhancement to the existing paintwork. The repair kit will be used as a sheet ready for cutting out shapes by hand and also pre-cut with the use of a computerised cutting machine Application method: 1. Identify the damaged area, choose the colour to match contemplate the design based on your bike 2. Using the tracing paper & a pencil, sketch your design.</p>
<p>3. Transfer the sketched image to the paper backing of your "Stickix", making sure the Image is face down (Mirror Imaged) 4. Carefully cut out your design with the aid of a sharp pair of scissors and/or a sharp craft knife 5. For best results, apply decal in room temperature. Note: For deep scratches and scuffs, overall finish may be improved with the use of a very small amount out of body filler, then lightly sanded to surface level.</p>
<p>6. Job complete, average time taken 15 minutes.</p>

- <p>STICK ON PAINT REPAIR/SEIF-ADHISIVE PAINT FOR MOTORCYCLES</p><p>CLAIMS</p><p>1. Our repair kit is specifically designed so that it can be cut into shape and size according to the design and surrounding area combined with the correct colour co-ordinated kit by using a contrasting colour for a given motorcycle allows our repair kit to blend in with the design and colour of the original paint scheme ensuring a quick and appearance enhancing alternative to anything else that is known this prevents the bike from being taken off the road or having to remove panels. Repair kits are supplied either in pre-cut shapes designed for some of the most common areas that tend to be damaged or in sheet form allowing the motorcycle owner to cut out a tailor made' shape. Part of the kit will include: Application Instructions and sheet containing images of popular shapes to choose from.</p>
