Abstract

A stand for a container of drink, for use on a desk or other work surface, comprises a platform 4 around which extends a protective shield formed by a tubular body 2. A weight 1 beneath the platform 4 tends to keep the stand upright. The upper rim of the tubular body 2 extends in a plane oblique to the vertical axis of the stand so that the shield reduces to a low lip at one side. The base 5 of the stand may have feet 3 and be non-slip. Use of the stand reduces the risk of spillage of the drink.

Description

2332362 DESK ACCESSORY This invention relates to a desk accessory.
If liquids are located at a desktop or similar location, spillage can cause damage to electrical equipment, computers, paperwork etc.
According to the present invention a safety factor is provided by the use of this desk accessory, which is in the form of a dished stand, suitably weighted, with a protective lip and shield comprised of a tubular section partially surrounding the non-slip base.

1. A desk accessory comprising a dished stand, suitably weighted, with protective lip and shield comprised of a tubular body, partially surrounding the non-slip base to provide a safer location for drinks on work surfaces and the like.

Claims (1)

  1. 2. A desk accessory as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the weighted stand with
    protective lip is shielded by a body of construction other than tubular to protect the liquid container from accidental spillage.
