Abstract
A stop bolt or door stop arrangement wherein an axially movable bolt 5 is toggled between an engaged or extended first position, as shown, and a disengaged or retracted second position by means of axial displacement of the bolt in a housing 7 wherein the bolt has a lateral guide pin (9, Fig 3 not shown) engaging in a cam groove, Fig 4, in a bush B fixed in the housing and wherein the bolt is spring biassed towards the first position. The camming groove, Fig 4, is provided on the inner cylindrical surface of the bush B and is in a form, as shown which provides a bistable, extended or retracted condition for the bolt on successive depressions of the bolt in its housing. The bolt may be foot actuated and may incorporate a rubber cap 1 covering the bolt head.

QUALITIES OF THE "STUMPERu l.Safer means 2 Stronger 3.Robust(can withstand bashes or forcing up to more than twice
standard B53621:1980 thief resistance locks forces of 13500 N) 4. Impact resistant 5.Ease of use 6.Cheaper than most security devices with essential functions 7.Durable - fatigue resistant 8.Not visible to intruder 9.Not accessible for 'foreign' bodies 10.Does not damage door during use
FEATURES OF THE uSTUMPER l.Spring-loaded - so that it can bounce up 2.Body-weight operated 3.Minimal friction material 4.Very rigid/no bending device
S.Disappears into floor/invisible - do not get in the way of
anything during use and safe 6. 'Bumper' - do not destroy door 7.Very easy to work - need no prior knowledge 8.Not accessible - out of sight of intruder.

Claims (1)
- CLAIX (S) (including Schema tic Diagrams description) THE PRODUCT - THE "STUMPERN AND ITS FUNCTION The product will be capable of preventing all side hinged door types from being forced open form the outside. The product will allow opening at a safe distance with the device in operation. However, it is stronger, more secure and inaccessible from outside than other similar door devices. The product will be bolted to the floor and will extend and retract with a single toes press. It will be simple to operate and will be suitable for use particularly by old and disabled people. When the product is retracted it will not be unobtrusive. The door will be able to open and close freely with the product retracted. The product will be suitable for retrofitting to premises with both suspended and solid floor types, but will be particularly suitable for fitting to new houses.Other uses include: For doors other than front door, as door stops to keep doors open completely ajar.Acts as a secondary lock at night when extended.A few over bigger premises entrances acts as multi-security device.
