Abstract
A mosquito net comprises netting supportable, either by hook D or by inflation of hollow tubes G, and integrally attached to mattress cover B. The mattress can be inserted through zip E and is covered by cotton cover C attached by poppers F.
Description
Statement relating to plans of Mosquito Defence Svstems This Mosquito Net differs from all other products available in as much as the the net is an integral part ofan impenetrable latex matress cover. The net can be free standing (with the optional use of a hook or spring clip) or alternativly it can be inflated by means of a valve and tube system that extends around the four sides of the matress cover and the four seams of net. The matress (in which many insects including malaria carrying mosquito's can lurk) should be inserted into the latex cover whilst the net remains firmly shut, via the close toothed nylon zipper.
The inside upper lever of the mattress (on which one would sleep) is covered with soft removable (via poppers) cotton sheeting
Referring to the drawing
A) Valve to inflate tubes around latex matress cover and 4 Tubes to hold net erect.
B) Latex matress cover in which to insert whole matreress.
C) Soft cotton covering to matress for comfort.
D) Alterate usage - hook for hanging uninflated net.
E) Means of opening cover for insertion of matress.
F ) Popper points for attachment of soft cotton cover.
G) Tubes (Latex) to be inflated for free standing mode.
Claims (4)
- ClaimsThe M.D.S. mosquito net gives absolute protection from all air borne disease vectors ie, Anopheles Mosquitoes, Dengue Flies.
- 2 Further to the protection provided (above (1)). The M.D.S. also further protects the sleeper from bites by bed bugs, spiders, scorpians and snakes, as there is no point of entry into the M.D.S. once the zips are secured. A conventional net that is secured by tucking under the matress allows entry to these pests.
- 3 No other net allows for the free standing position without the use of bulky poles (allthough these can be used as an alternative with the M.D.S.). The simple tube & valve system that is used is similar to that used on a bycycle and allows fast assembly and dismantling and Is far less bulky to carry. This system of support is unique.
- 4 The ptotection can also be extended to sufferers of Asthma & Excema as it protects from 4 faeces also.
