Abstract

The artwork comprises tiles or boards 10-21 releasably mounted on a wall 3 by means of Velcro (RTM) or magnetic fastenings 2.

Description

Art Illustration Apparatus T:lis invention relates to detachable wall tiles,boards or panels that are to be picture painted or used for wall tjecoration,and incudes methods of fastening the tiles or boards to the wall or other suitable members.
Wall picture painting is a common picture painting method, and is sometimes done on screens,petitions or wallpaper.The oxisting methods however,rely on the painter having to stand "p whilst painting or having to paint and then fix the boards together in some way,as often occurs when making screens for the theatre.
According to the present invention there are provided several wall tiles.the tiles being flat and having square sides and are of considerable thickness,with means for releasably securing the tiles to the wall.The tiles or boards being adapted to be put onto and taken off the the wall at will.
'rhe tiles can also be positioned onto the accomodating surface and in any position,individually or collectively.
A specific embodiement of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which.
Fig l.Shows in perspective.the painted tiles or boards fitted into position on the wall.
Fig 2.Illustrates that some of the tiles have been seperated from the wall,and exposes the fastenings that are attached to the wall,and tiles or boards.
Fig 3.Shows the tiles or boards,with some fitted into position and some removed from the wall and put onto a table ready for painting.
Ref fearing to the drawing the art work apparatus comprises of twelve tiles or boards marked 10 to 21, in the form of two comparitively large flat surfaces on each tile.marked 7,and ea(.ti being the same thickness,and being of sufficient thickness to ensure that the units are stiff or semi stiff.The tiles lO to 21 figi, each have four square edges marked B,and all the edges are at right angles.The units 10 to 2L are releasably secured to the wall marked 3,figs 1,2 and 3, by velcro patches marked 2, figs 2 and 3.or magnetic strips of the same or similar shape.In order to remove the tiles 10 to 21 from the wall or member 3, the fastenings are released and the tile is withdrawn from the wall as illustrated in 4igs 2 and fig 3.The tiles are then placed on the floor 5, (r table 4,and can then be painted.To remount the tile on the wall the steps described above are carried out in reverse !;equence leaving the tiles butted up to each other and the drawings or paintings, matched.The tiles can be made from polystyrene and covered with a suitable layer for painting onto.

  1. CLAIMS.
    l.Art illustration apparatus in the form of a tile or board, nians for releasably securing the tile to the wall,and the tile or board being adapted to pull from the wall using the edges provided
  2. 2.Art illustration, tiles or boards,using velcrotfasteners that are attached to the tiles and the wall or supporting member
  3. 3.Art illustration,tiles or boards using magnetic fasteners hat are attached to the tiles and the wall or supporting member
  4. 4.Art illustration tiles or boards with the drawings or paintings on one or both large surfaces of each unit b.Art illustration apparatus or units in the form of detachable tiles,boards or petitions.
