Abstract
A drive arrangement for a domestic laundry drier with a horizontally rotatably mounted laundry drum, is drivable in one direction or reversibly and includes a drive belt (4) guided over a motor pinion (2) of a drive motor (1) and over a tensioning roller (3). In order to reduce the noise level generated by the drive motor for the laundry drum, the drive motor (1) is provided with at least one vibration absorber (5). The vibration absorber (5) is arranged on the rotor (2) of the drive motor (1).
Description
1 Drive device for a domestic hundly drier 2322930 The invention relates
to a drive device for a domestic laundry drier with a horizontally rotatably mounted laundry drum, which is drivable in one direction or reversibly by means of a drive belt guided over the motor pinion of the drive device and over a tensioning roller.
It is generally known in domestic laundry driers to drive the laundry drum by way of a belt drive, in which the belt is tensioned over the drive pinion of the motor and the outer casing of the laundry drum. However, motor vibrations are transferred to the laundry drum by a laundry drum drive device of this type and thus result in a high noise level during the drying process as the laundry drum moves.
It is the object of the invention to reduce the noise level generated by the drive motor for the laundry drum to a tolerable degree.
This object is attained in accordance with the invention in that the drive device is provided with at least one vibration absorber. In this respect, it is expedient to arrange a vibration absorber of this type on the rotor of the drive motor.
By way of the invention it is attained that the disturbing frequencies generated by the drive device are already counteracted at the generation site, so that transmissions to possible radiation surfaces of the laundry drier are extensively ruled out.
An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing and is explained in finiher detail below.
In the drawing, only the part of the drive motor fbr the laundry drum of a domestic laundry drier which is required for understanding the invention is illustrated in purely schematic fashion. The reference I designates the drive motor, about whose drive pinion 2 or rotor a belt 4, which is acted upon by a tensioning roller 3, is tensioned in order to drive a laundry drun-4 not shown, of an electric domestic laundry drier. In order to remove the frequencies responsible for sound radiation, a spring-weight system, i.e. a so-called vibration absorber 5 is secured to the drive pinion 2 of the motor 1. The weight and the spring rigidity of a vibration absorber of this type are designed so that the vibration absorber, excited to the frequency which is to be absorbed, vibrates phase-displaced through 1801 to the motor 2, thereby reducing the frequency which is to be absorbed to an acceptable degree.

Claims (2)
1. A drive device for a domestic laundry drier with a horizontally rotatably mounted laundry drum, which is drivable in one direction or reversibly by means of a drive belt guided over the motor pinion of the drive device and over a tensioning roller, wherein the drive device is provided with at least one vibration absorber.
2. A drive device according to claim 1, wherein the vibration absorber is arranged on the rotor of the drive motor.
A drive device as claimed in claim 1 substantially as described herein with reference to the accompanying drawing.
