Abstract

An ornament such as a timepiece or article of personal wear includes a body formed from at least part of a used cosmetics container. Fig 3 shows a clock embodied in a powder or eye shadow container. Also disclosed is the use of a brand mark cut from a cosmetics container lid and used as a wrist watch face (Figs 1,2), a pendant (Figs 5,6) in which the cut lid part is mounted in a flanged ring which may be hung from a chain, and a pendant digital watch (Fig 7) with the display mounted in the cut lid part. The cosmetics container may also be a cap, a container body or a compact.

Description

ORNAMENT UTILIZING USED COSMETICS CONTAINER Detailed Description of the Invention Industrial Field of the Invention This invention relates to recycled material ornaments utilizing used cosmetics containers of famous brand cosmetics products and the like.

Prior Art Cosmetics containers of famous brand cosmetics products have peculiar weights of brands in trademark as well as design appearance.

Problems to be Solved according to the Invention However, used cosmetics containers are mostly discarded.

By the way, some recent users of famous brand cosmetics products strongly desire owning unique and original recycled material ornaments utilizing used cosmetics containers. Such recycled material ornaments are presently not available.

Accordingly, it is an object of the invention to provide a novel reccycled material ornament.

Means for Solving the Problem The above object of the invention is attained by an ornament utilizing a used cosmetics container, which comprises an ornament body obtained from a characterizing portion of a used cosmetics containers of a famous brand cosmetics product, and support means attached to the ornament body.

Merits of the Invention With the ornament having the above construction according to the invention, the ornament body which is obtained from a characterizing portion of a used cosmetics container of a famous brand cosmetics product, can be worn on the body by attaching the support means to it. The ornament thus permits recycling of used cosmetics containers as resources, and its body is excellent in the aesthetic design appearance.

The ornament thus can attain the above object of the invention.

Embodiments Figure 1 is a plan view showing a first embodiment of the ornament utilizing a used cosmetics container according to the invention; Figure 2 is a sectional view taken along line A-A in Figure 1; Figure 3 is a perspective view showing a second embodiment of the ornament; Figure 4 is a sectional view taken along line B-B in Figure 3; Figure 5 is a front view showing a third embodiment of the ornament; Figure 6 is a sectional view taken along line C-C in Figure 5; and Figure 7 is a sectional view showing a fourth embodiment of the ornament.

The ornament 1 utilizing a used cosmetics container according to the invention, comprises an ornament body 2 obtained from a characterizing portion of a used cosmetics container of a famous brand cosmetics product, and support means 3 attached to the ornament body 2.

The used cosmetic container of a famous brand cosmetic product may be caps of perfume and toilet water containers, rouge containers, eye shadow containers, compacts and various other cosmetics containers.

Figures 1 and 2 show an embodiment of the invention applied to the re-use of a used rouge container for an ornament 1. In this embodiment, the ornament 1 is a fashionable watch la.

As the ornament body 2, a disc-like watch face plate 10 is obtained by cutting from a rouge container cap portion having a famous brand mark 21 formed on the surface. A watch mechanism 12 is provided on the front side of the face plate 10, and a short and a long hand 13 are provided on the back side. The watch assembly thus obtained is fitted in a casing 11, and a transparent glass cover 14 is then fitted thereon to cover the face plate 10 and the short and long hands 13.

The casing 11 has attachment pins 15 provided on its opposite sides, and separate portions 312 and 32 of a belt are attached as the support means 3 to the pins 15, thus completing the fashionable watch la.

While the above fashionable watch adopted the hand display as the time display, it is of course possible to adopt liquid crystal digital display as well.

Figures 3 and 4 show a second embodiment of the invention applied to the re-use of a used container of powder, eye shadow or other cosmetics for an ornament 1. In this embodiment, the ornament 1 is a clock lb.

The container comprises a container body 16 and a cap 17 with one side thereof hinged to the container body 16. The cap 17 has a portion with a famous brand mark 21 formed on the surface, and it is wholly used as the ornament body 3 including a face plate 10.

In the cap 17, the portion with the famous brand mark 21 is formed with a central hole.

A clock mechanism 12 is disposed inside the cap 17 such that its drive shaft penetrates the central hole noted above. A short and a long hand are provided the projecting portion of the drive shaft on the outer side of the cap 17, thus completing the clock.

While in the illustrated case the short and long hands for the time display are provided on the outer side of the container, it is possible as well to accommodate the short and long hands 13 together with the clock mechanism in the container.

While the above clock ib adopted the hand display as the time display, like previous first embodiment it is of course possible to adopt digital display as well.

Figures 5 and 6 show a third embodiment of the invention applied to the re-use of a used cosmetics container for different kinds of ornament 1. In this embodiment, the ornament 1 may be pendant tops, earrings, bracelets, etc.

As the ornament body 2, an ornamental plate 22 having a circular, polygonal or other desired shape, is obtained by cutting from a cosmetics container portion having a famous brand mark 22 on the surface. The ornamental plate 22 is snugly fitted in a flanged ring member 19, thus completing the ornament 1.

The flanged ring member 19 has an attachment member 33 as the support means 3, and a chain or a string for a pendant or a bracelet is attached to the attachment member 13.

In this embodiment, an alternative application to the recycled material ornament is an earring.

Figure 7 shows a fourth embodiment of the invention. This embodiment may again be the ornament 1 of the hanging type. Like the first embodiment, a watch mechanism 12 is disposed on the inner side of an ornamental plate 22, a hole or window is formed in the ornamental plate 22 at a suitable position thereof, and a liquid crystal display 13a for the time display is provided in the hole, thus completing the recycled material ornament 1.

Benefits of the Invention As has been described in the foregoing, the recycled material ornament according to the invention is constructed by utilizing a characterizing portion of a used cosmetic container of a famous brand cosmetics product or the like for an ornament body and attaching support means to the ornament body. A unique and original recycled material ornament thus can be obtained by utilizing a used container which is usually discarded.

It is thus possible to meet the famous brand cosmetics user's demand noted earlier and make effective use of resources, as well as attaining the object of the invention. The invention is thus practically beneficial.

Claims

CLAIMS: 1. An ornament utilizing a used cosmetics container comprising an ornament body obtained from a characterizing portion of a used cosmetics container of a cosmetics product, and support means attached to said ornament body.
2. An arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cosmetics container is a famous brand cosmetics container.
3. An ornament utilizing a used cosmetics conatiner according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that said used cosmetics container of a famous brand cosmetics product is selected from the group consisting of perfume containers, toilet water containers, powder containers and other cosmetics containers.
4. An ornament utilizing a used cosmetics container according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that said ornament body is a member of the group consisting of pendant tops, finger rings, fashionable watches, brooches, earrings and other ornament bodies.
5. An ornament utilizing a used cosmetics container according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that said support means is a member of the group consisting of wrist bands, chains, strings, other suspending means and other support members.
