IMPROVED GOLF GRIPIGLOVE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION This invention relates to an improved grip system for golf clubs.

The game of golf is often played in wet weather. When either the grip of the club or the player's glove get wet, this can result in an inferior amount of club control, dueto slippage caused by the moisture.

The improved golf grip, when used in conjunction with the improved golf glove, makes for improved club control due to drastically less slippage in all types of weather, but especially wet weather.

According to the present invention, the grip on the club is partly made from Velcro TM loop, while the corresponding glove is partly made from either Velcro TM loop or Velcro TM hook, depending on personal preference.

A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Figure 1 relates to the golf glove partly made from Velcro TM loop.

Figure 2 relates to the golf glove partly made from Velcro TM hook.

Figure 3 relates to the way in which the Velcro TM loop glove inter-relates with the grip.

Figure 4 relates to the way in which the Velcro TM hook glove inter-relates with the grip.

Figure 5 relates to the way in which the player wearing the Velcro TM loop glove grips the club.

Figure 6 relates to the way in which the player wearing the Velcro TM hook glove grips the club.

IMPROVED GOLF GRIP/GLOVE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION CONTINUED Referring to the drawings, in Figures 1 to 6, the grip comprises of a combination of conventional golf grip material (leather, rubber, etc.) with an insert of Velcro TM loop. The resulting grip is essentially uniform in nature in its cross-section, as required by the R & A Rules of Golf.

The Velcro TM insert is placed in such a position as to be in contact with the left hand of a right -handed golf player when gripping the club, as illustrated in Figures 5 & 6. (Obviously for left-handed players the situation is reversed.) Figure 1 shows the corresponding glove to be used with the grip. The glove is made of conventional material (e.g. leather), with Velcro TM loop pads on the palm and the fingers where they normally come into contact with the grip.

Figure 2 shows the same as figure 2, but incorporating Velcro TM hook instead of Velcro loop.

Figures 3 & 4 show how when the glove comes in to contact with the club, both Velcro TM surfaces come together, resulting in the improved grip as described.

Figures 5 & 6 show the completed grip when the player is holding the club preparing to play.

1. IMPROVED GOLF GRIP/GLOVE SYSTEM
