Description

DOOR STOP VEHICLE BAR THIS INVENTION IS A SECURITY DEVICE/DETERRENT FOR STATIONARY, UNATTENDED VEHICLES.
THE LOCKS ON VEHICLE DOORS ARE STANDARD FACTORY ISSUE AND UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO THE PRESENT ENVIRONMENT EASY PREY FOR THE CRIMINAL ELEMENT.
TO PREVENT EASY ACCESS THE GENERAL PUBLIC ARE LOOKING FOR A VISUAL DETERRENT.
THE INVENTION CONSISTS OF TWO MILD STEEL METAL SECTIONS. THE 1ST SECTION (METAL BOX MOUNTING PLATE) IS ATTACHED BY FOUR NUTS & BOLTS, UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE INLINE WITH THE DOOR. THE 2ND SECTION (DOOR STOP BAR) SLIDES INTO THE 1ST SECTION AND THEN LOCKED BY A PADLOCK TO STOP THE DOOR FROM BEING OPENED.
SECTION ONE IS ATTACHED TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE FLOOR USING THE FOUR 6mm HOLES (A) BY 6mm NUTS & BOLTS. THIS SECTION MUST HAVE THE LOCK LOCATION HOLE (B) AND SLIDE HOLE (C) TO BE FACING OUTWARDS AND TO BE POSITIONED IN THE MOST SECURE PLACE TO PREVENT THE DOOR FROM OPENING WHEN SECTION TWO IS ATTACHED. WHEN SECTION ONE IS SECURELY FITTED SECTION TWO CAN BE SLID INTO PLACE USING THE SLIDE BAR (D) INTO THE SLIDE HOLE (C). ONCE THE LOCK LOCATION HOLES (B) ARE INLINE A PADLOCK IS INSERTED TO SECURE THE DEVICE. (AS FIG 1 & 2).

Claims (2)

1. THE DOOR STOP VEHICLE BAR CONSISTS OF TWO MILD STEEL METAL SECTIONS. THE 1ST SECTION (METAL BOX MOUNTING PLATE) IS ATTACHED BY FOUR NUTS & BOLTS, UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE INLINE WITH THE DOOR. THE 2ND SECTION ('L' SHAPE DOOR STOP) SLIDES INTO THE 1ST SECTION AND THEN PADLOCKED TOGETHER TO STOP THE DOOR FROM BEING OPENED.
2. THE DOOR STOP VEHICLE BAR AS CLAIMED IN CLAIM 1 WITH SECTION TWO CONVERTED FOR DOUBLE DOOR USE BY ADDING A CROSS SECTION UP UPRIGHT BAR.
