CONTAINER DEVICE WITH TWO SPACED-APART ACCOMMODATING
SPACES
This invention relates to a container device, and more particularly to a container device that is formed with two spaced-apart accommodating spaces.
Normally, a conventional, such as a cup, a penholder, a bank, a jewel case, and a vase, has only one accommodating space. In some cases, it is undesirable to receive two different kinds of things or articles within an accommodating space in a container. As such, two single-accommodatingspace containers are needed to receive these two kinds of substances, respectively.
The object of this invention is to provide a container device that is formed with two spaced-apart accommodating spaces therein.
According to this invention, a container device comprises a container having abottom wall end a surrounding wall that extends upwardly from a periphery of the bottom wall to define a first accommodating space, and a first receiving member connected removably to the bottom wall of the container and defining a second accommodating space therein.
These and other features and advantages of this invention will become apparent in the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments ofthisinvention, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. l is an exploded perspective view of the first r preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the first preferred embodiment; S Fig. 3 is an exploded sectional view of the second preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; Fig. 4 is an assembled sectional view of the second preferred embodiment; Fig. 5 is a sectional view of the third preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; Fig. 6 is a sectional view of the fourth preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; Fig. 7 is a sectional view of the fifth preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; Fig. 8 is a sectional view of the sixth preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; Fig. 9 is a sectional view of the seventh preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; Fig. 10 is a sectional view of the eighth preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; Fig. 11 is a sectional view of the ninth preferred embodiment of a container device according to this invention; and Fig. 12 is a sectional view of the tenth preferred S embodiment of a container device according to this invention.
Before the present invention is described in greater detail in connection with the preferred embodiments, it should be noted that similar elements and structures are designatedbylike reference numerals throughout the entire
disclosure.
Referring to Figs. 1 and 2, the first preferred embodiment of a container device 10 according to this invention is shown to include a container 11 and a first receiving member 12. The container 11 is shaped as a cup, and has a bottom wall 111, a surrounding wall 112 that extends upwardly from a periphery of the bottom wall 111, a handle 113 disposed on the surrounding wall 112, and a first accommodating space 114 that is defined by the bottom wall 111 and the surrounding wall 112. The bottom wall 111 has an annular surface 115 that is formed with a recess 116. The first receiving member 12 is shaped as a generally rectangular casing with an open upper end, defines a second accommodating space 121 therein, and is received fittingly within the recess 116 in the annular surface 115 of the bottom wall 111 so as to permit removal from the container 11. As such, some small articles (not shown), such as crayons, figures, and trinkets, can be received within the second accommodating space 121 in the first receiving member 12.
Figs. 3 and 4 show the second preferred embodiment of a container device 10 according to this invention, which includes a container 11 shaped also as a cup, an externally threaded first receiving member 12 shaped as a circular casing with an open upper end, and a seal ring 13. A bottom wall 111 of the container 11 has a bottom surface 117 that is formed with a threaded circular recess 116. The first receiving member 12 is disposed threadably within the recess 116 in the container 11. The seal ring 13 is disposed between the first receiving member 12 and the container 11 so as to establish a liquid-tight seal therebetween.
As such, aliquid, such es a beverage, can tee received within the first receiving member 12.
Fig. 5 shows the third preferred embodiment of a container device 10 according to this invention, which includes a container 11 shaped as a cup and having a bottom wall 111, and a first receiving member 12 shaped as a circular casing having an open upper end. The container 11 includes a cup-shaped container body 11' that is formed with a first accommodating space 114, and a coupling member 11" that is attached adhesively to a bottom surface of the container body 11'. Alternatively, the coupling member 11" can be attached removably to the container body 11'.
The coupling member 11" forms a portion of the bottom wall s 111 of the container 11, and has a bottom surface that is formed with a threaded recess 116. The first receiving member 12 is disposed threadably within the recess 116 in the coupling member 11".
Fig. 6 shows the fourth preferred embodiment of a container device 10 according to this invention, which includes a container 11 shaped as a cup and having a bottom wall 111, a first receiving member 12 shaped as a generally rectangular casing with an open upper end, and a second receiving member 14 shaped as a circular casing having an open upper end. The container 11 includes a cup-shaped container body 11', and a coupling member 11" that is attached adhesively to a bottom surface of the container body 11'. The coupling member 11" forms a portion of the bottom wall 111 of the container 11, and has an annular surface that is formed with a generally rectangular recess 116 for receiving the first receiving member 12 fittingly therein, and a bottom surface that is formed with a threaded recess 118. The second receiving member 14 is disposed threadably within the recess 118 in the bottom surface of the coupling member 11", and defines a third accommodating space 141 therein.
The structure of the second preferred embodiment shown in Figs. 3 and 4 can be modified into a vase shown in Fig. 7, a bank shown in Fig. 8, a penholder shown in Fig. 9, a candy can shown in Fig. 10, a perfume bottle shown in Fig. 11, or a jewel case shown in Fig. 12.
