Abstract

The AMILPS will allow multiple independent samples of any material that will flow to be taken automatically by this invention. The size of the sample, the delay between each sample is defined by the size and shape of the containers, the size and position of the holes and the total number of containers used, unlimited number of containers possible. Any number of lids or one way valves can be used if cross-contamination is to be avoided.

Description

PAGE 1 AUTOMATIC MULTIPLE INDEPENDENT LIQllID OR PARTICALESAMPLER (AMILPS)
DESCRIPTION
The system consists of a number of interlinking containers, of any shape, number or size depending on the type of sample to be taken, with holes positioned to achieve the desired sample quantity and the delay time between samples.
In the drawing ( diagram!) the material to be sampled comes in via the funnel part of container A, which can either be part of A or a free fitting independent funnel, as A fills up the material (liquid / particles) will eventually reach holes (1) and spill into container B. container B will then fill up to the top ofthe container which is partially inhibited by the funnel resting on is edge. The material will then back up in funnel of A and will eventually spill out into container C which in the sample shown is the final container and in this set-up the container B is the primary sample needed. Any of the outlets holes could be fitted with one-way values to prevent back / cross contamination. The (AMLIPS) will work with any material that will flow and will leave independent samples that can be tested or stored. The total number of containers, the number and size of the holes and any shape of container, with or without a lid, is covered by this description. The containers can be made of any suitable material and all the containers in any set-up need not be of the same material.

AUTOMATIC MULTIPLE INDEPENDENT LIQUID OR PARTICALE
    SAMPLER (AMILPS)
    CLS
I claim that this invention will allow multiple independent samples of liquid or particles to be taken from an incoming supply. These samples can then be independently separated and stored or tested as individual shingles. The size, shape and number of containers, the size and position of hole and the size of the funnel or the material that the various containers are made of do not affect the principle of the invention.
