Abstract

A garment for wear by a child has a flap 4 covering a clear plastics pocket which contains a card bearing the telephone number of the child's parents or guardian. If the child has been lost, the message on the back of the garment directs the finder's attention to the pocket while a further message on the front of the garment directs his attention to the back of the garment.

Informative Garment This invention relates to an informative item of

clothing.

Children are easily lost in crowed places such as shopping centres festivals or the seaside. This invention enables the person who finds a lost child to easily contact the parent or gaurdian and arrange the return of the child.

My invention is a garment with writing printed on the front saying "If I am lost see reverse".

Printed on theback ofthe garment is "Ifs am lost please lift". The words "Please lift" are written across a flap of material which when it is lifted reveals a clear plastic pocket into which the parent or gaurdian of the child can insert their telephone number on a piece of card which is provided with "Tel" printed on it.

A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure I shows the back of the garment with "If I am lost please l if t" pri nted onto it. The "Please lift" wording is printed on a material flap which when lifted reveals a clear plastic pocket.

Figure 2 shows the material flap in the lifted position to reveal the clear plastic pocket.

Figure 3 shows the card being inserted into the clear plastic pocket. The card has "Tel" already printed on it and is suplied with the garment.

Figure 4 shows the front of the garment with "If I am lost please see reverse" printed on it.

Refering to the drawings figure 1 and 4 numbers I, 2, and 3 the wording gives clear instruction to the person finding the lost child of what to do when the person follows the instructions that are written on the flap.

The flap figure I number 4 remains in the lowered position until it is lifted by someone this enables the telephone number to remain concealed if the child is not lost for confidentiality purposes. The garment can be made in a variety of sizes and colours to suit toddlers and young children.

The flap is on the back of the garment to prevent the child wearing it tampering with the flap.

The garment may be worn on its own or over the top of other clothing.

A garment with writing printed on the front saying "If T am lost see reverse" printed on the back of the garment is "If I am lost please lift" the words "please lift" are written across a flap of material which when it is lifted reveals a clear plastic pocket into which the parent or gaurdian of the child can insert their telephone number on a piece of the card which is provided with "Tel" printed on it.
