Abstract

A method of monitoring the records of a business enterprise wherein the records are stored in the fields of, for example, a supplier and an employee database. The method includes identifying related fields of the databases in which items of information, such as the physical addresses, the names and telephone numbers of employees/suppliers of the business enterprise, are to be monitored. The items of information in the databases are monitored for identicalness. In response to a change in an item of information in oneof the databases, the new item of information is compared with items of information in a corresponding field of the other database, If an identical item is found then a real-time warning signal is generated. This serves to indicate possible collusion between asupplier and an employee or a possible conflict of interests, which can then be investigated.
