Abstract

A jewellery storage container (2) is provided for the storage and display of jewellery, particularly earrings. The container (2) comprises a storage section (4) which has panel receiving means (14) into which one or more panels (20) may be placed. Each of the panels (20) comprises an expandable plastics layer bonded to a substantially rigid backing material (24) and having a felt outer layer (22) covering the plastics layer. Each panel (20) has two lateral edges and a top edge through which a number of pairs of slots (26,28) have been cut. Earrings can then be stored in the slots (26,28) without the need to detach and reattach the backing components of the earrings. Additionally, the panels (20) may be split into first and second portions (20a,20b) and held together with a clip (36) to increase the storage capacity of each panel (20).
