Abstract

An alarm clock has a detachable component which must be inserted into or attached to the alarm clock to turn off or reset the alarm. The clock may have a handle that will temporarily disable the alarm until the detachable component is applied to the clock. The clock may be in the form of a grenade and the detachable component may be a grenade pin.

GRENADE ALARM CLOCK
The invention relates to a design of alarm clock which, once set, can only be turned off by inserting a pin into the Clock Chassis/Grenade pin housing. This invention would be used to almost guarantee the user gets out of bed in the morning. Although the idea of an alarm clock is not a new concept, most alarm clocks can easily be disabled by simply pressing a button. This gives the user the chance to snooze or even go back to sleep, which in the turn can make the user late in getting up.
My invention cannot be fully switched off until a pin Dig 1) is inserted into the grenade pin housing (fig 3). When the Alarm clock goes off, in a morning for example, the alarm can be temporarily disabled by holding down the grenade handle (fig 2). But to turn off the alarm completely a pin must be inserted into the grenade pin housing (fig 3) to keep the grenade handle in position. The alarm clock can not be set without the pin being inserted into the pin housing (fig 3). This will stop the user from waking in the morning and re-setting the clock to go off later.
The idea is to place the pin somewhere away from the sleeping area, for example in the kitchen or bathroom. This would make the user leave their bed and be less likely to return. If the user does not get up, the alarm will not stop unless the handle is held down. If the user lets go of the handle, the alarm will continue to go off. The alarm can not even be set, because the grenade alarm clock can only be set with the pin Jig 1) inserted in the pin housing (fig 3).
The alarms chassis will be made of plastic and the pin will be made of metal or a strong plastic material.
The design is for an alarm clock that can only be seVturned off with a removable part.
The next section will describe the invention drawing: FIGURE 1 This shows the grenade pin which is used to hold the grenade handle in place thus disabling the grenade alarm clock. The pin is also needed to set the grenade alarm clock. FIGURE 2 This shows the grenade handle which without the grenade pin will remain in the depressed position.
FIGURE 3 This shows the grenade pin housing. The grenade pin housing is where the grenade pin is inserted to set the alarm clock and hold the grenade handle in place.
FIGURE 4 This shows the integral alarm clock face which will display the time and date.
FIGURE 5 This show the grenade alarm clock chassis.
