Abstract

A container for a camping stove, comprising a least one collapsable cylindrical wall section where the first wall section acts as a windshield, at least one wall section is a saucepan, a plurality of supporting legs attached to one of said cylindrical wall sections and a removable cylinder base that includes a central aperture for a burner to be disposed. The burner is suspended above the ground preferably by a tripod stand and the said base is adaptable for the various burner types.

HEATSHIELD AND TRIPOD FOR CAMPING STOVE This invention relates to a windshield and tripod for a camping stove.
When cooking out of doors, most of the heat is blown away in the wind. Quite often a kettle will loose as much heat as it receives at a temperature below l 00C. In other words it will never boil, and in these circumstances we may say that the effective efficiency of the burner is 0%.
Saucepans for camping are usually sold as a nested set with just one handle.
ZD i According to the present invention there is provided a cylindrical container for the lame and the cooking vessel where heat exchange can go on undisturbed. When not in use the cylinder walls are collapsible to form the outside two layers of a nest of saucepans. The floor of the cylinder is removable and has a central hole cut to suit the particular type of bumer in use. The camping stove is suspended from this hole with the actual bumer above floor level, and the air inlet holes for the premix flame below.
The whole assembly is supported on three legs, removable for transport.

Claims (5)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A container for a cooking vessel and the burner of a camping stove. but \ hich is not part of the stove.
  2. 2. A container as in 1 with cylindrical sides in more than one stage, collapsible for storage.
  3. 3. A container as in 2 forming the outer layers of a nest of saucepans.
  4. 4. Windshield for camping stove sold as outer layers of a nest ofsaucopar. s.
    4. A container as in 1 where the stove is suspended from the floor and the container has its own legs
  5. 5. A container as in 1 whose base is removable and may be replaced by one to suit a different type of burner.
