Abstract
A lightweight multi-layered mesh fabric shield 1 to cover the nose of a horse or pony protecting it from the harmful effects of the sun's rays. The device has a slotted sleeve 3 to accommodate the noseband of a standard head collar. A soft fabric band 2 prevents rubbing and reduces irritation to the muzzle of the horse. The edge 4 is bound to prevent fraying and to add weight to the shield. The shield is waterproof and does not interfere with breathing eating, drinking or grazing.

Equine Nose Shield Many horses and ponies are prone to sunburn, due to lack of pigmentation in their skin, especially if they have pink or white noses or muzzles.
Sunburn can be very painful and distressing and makes them more susceptible to skin cancer. Sun creams and lotions often have to be applied several times a day and can be washed off by the rain or wiped away while grazing.
The Equine Nose Shield is shaped and weighted to lightly cover the horses/ponies nose and shields the muzzle, reducing the suns harmful effect while allowing air through to the skin, thereby reducing the suffering of the horse or pony.
The Equine Nose Shield is waterproof and durable and can be worn at all times, in conjunction with a standard headcollar, as it does not interfere with normal breathing, grazing or drinking and can be made in a variety of sizes to suit all horses and ponies.

- Claims I claim that is Lightweight Multi Layered Mesh Shield with bound edges to add weight and prevent fraying and slip through sleeve to accommodate a conventional head-collar will help to prevent sunburn to horses and ponies noses and muzzle's without interfering with breathing drinking or grazing
