Abstract

A building that can be transported as a substantially flat pack, and that can be erected manually consists of rectangular wall and ceiling panels; and a sloping roof structure. These are connected together through integral flanges, which also provide strength. Each wall panel (16) has an inner skin (16) with externally projecting flanges (17) along at least two opposite edges,.at least a part of one such flange (17) having an L-shaped cross-section so as to define a return flange (30) to which an outer skin (36) can be connected. Similarly the ceiling panels (40) may have L-shaped flanges (41,42) to which the roof structure can be connected. The adjoining edges of adjacent panels may be sealed together, and the wall panels may incorporate thermal insulation (34).

Description

(57) A building that can be transported as a substantially flat pack, and
that can be erected manually consists of rectangular wall and ceiling panels; and a sloping roof structure. These are connected together through integral flanges, which also provide strength. Each wall panel (16) has an inner skin (16) with externally projecting flanges (17) along at least two opposite edges,.at least a part of one such flange {17) having an L-shaped cross-section so as to define a return flange (30) to which an outer skin (36) can be connected.
Similarly the ceiling panels (40) may have L-shaped flanges (41,42} to which the roof structure can be connected. The adjoining edges of adjacent panels may be sealed together, and the wall panels may incorporate thermal insulation {341.
