Abstract

This invention relates to a sexual aid (10) which comprises a substantially elongate rod member (16), intended to simulate a penis, on one end of which is mounted a substantially spherical inflatable vaginal plug (12) and an end plug (14).

Description

SEXUAL AID Background of the Invention This invention relates to a new and improved sexual aid which increases stimulation during sex acts.

It is an object of embodiments of the present invention to provide a device which improves stimulation during sex.

It is a further object of the present invention to provide a new and improved sexual aid which is easily and efficiently manufactured.

Summary of the Invention According to a first aspect of the present invention there is provided a sexual aid comprising an elongate member and at least a first and second protruding member mounted on said elongate member, wherein at least one of the said protruding members is inflatable.

Preferably, the elongate member is a substantially cylindrical rod about 10 to 20cm long and has a crosssectional diameter of about 2 to 8cm.

Preferably, the elongate member has an elastomeric or plastics outer layer or cover. Preferably, underneath the elastomeric or plastics cover, there are means for providing vibration.

Preferably, the means for providing vibration are

microelectric switches which are activated and deactivated using a series of switches, resistors, motors and batteries. It is further preferred if the operational frequency of the microelectric switches can be varied.

Preferably, the first protruding member is substantially spherical in shape and is inflatable. Preferably, the first protruding member is inflatable by injecting a fluid such as hot water into a channel connected to the spherical first member. It is preferred if the first protruding member has a diameter of about 2 to 4cm in its uninflated form and a diameter of about 6 to lOcm in its inflated form.

Preferably, the second protruding member is bulbous in shape. It is preferred if the second protruding member is about 4 to lOcm long and about 2 to 6 cm wide at its widest point.

Preferably, the elongate member and the at least first and second protruding members are formed from any suitable plastics materials.

Detailed Description Shown in Figures 1 to 5, there is a sexual aid, generally designated 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The sexual aid 10 comprises a substantially elongate rod member 16, intended to simulate a penis, on one end of which is mounted a substantially spherical vaginal plug 12 and an anal plug 14.

In Figure 1, the sexual aid 10 is in an uninflated configuration. As shown in Figure 2, the vaginal plug 12 can be inflated to form a larger spherical body.

The vaginal plug 12, in both its uninflated and inflated form, is substantially spherical in shape with a

typical diameter of about 2 to 4cm in its uninflated form and a diameter of about 6 to 10cm in its inflated form.

The vaginal plug is formed from an extensible elastomeric or plastics material.

The anal plug 14 is substantially bulbous in shape and typically ranges from about 4 to 10cm long and is about 2 to 6cm wide at its widest point. The anal plug 14 is formed from a rubber-like or plastics material.

The elongate rod member 16 is substantially cylindrical in shape and is about 10 to 20cm long and has a cross-sectional diameter of about 2 to 8cm. The elongate rod member 16 is formed from a rubber-like or plastics material.

Figures 3 and 4 are side sectional views of the sexual aid 10, in an uninflated and inflated configuration. A channel 18 is used to inflate the vaginal plug 12. A syringe (not shown) is used to inject fluid into the vaginal plug 12 via a non-return valve 20. A suitable fluid is hot water.

As shown in Figure 5a, the elongate rod member 16 comprises three sensor zone regions identified as 16a, 16b, 16c. The elongate rod member 16 has a flexible jacket 20. The flexible jacket 20 is formed from any suitable elastomeric or plastics material.

Figure 5b, which is an expanded side sectional view of sensor zone region 16a, shows a microelectric button 22a.

Figure 5c shows three cross-sectional views along the length of the elongate rod member 16 at sensor zone regions 16a, 16b, 16c. This shows that there are three sets of three microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c at each of the three sensor zone regions 16a, 16b, 16c. The microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c in each sensor zone region 16a, 16b, 16c are staggered (i. e. out of phase) with respect to each other.

Figure 6 shows that over the microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c there is a series of pressure bands 23a, 23b, 23c. The pressure bands 23a, 23b, 23c are formed from a flexible plastics or elastomeric material and basically have the function of providing vibrational movement to the whole area of the flexible jacket 20 area and not just the area above the microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c. As shown in Figure 6 the pressure bands 23a, 23b, 23c form an arch member above the microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c.

By activating and deactivating the microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c the flexible jacket 20 is caused to radially vibrate and provide the feeling of vibration to the user. The microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c operate in the region of 1 Hz to 1000 Hz.

Figure 7 shows a circuit diagram for operating the sexual aid 10. The sexual aid 10 is battery operated with two LR6 1.5V batteries 26. A motor 30 is used to operate the microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c via a series of

switches 24 and resistors 28. By opening and closing the switches 24 the microelectric buttons 22a, 22b, 22c are activated and deactivated and hence move up an down. By fitting different resistors 28, different operating vibrational frequencies can be obtained. (Alternatively, variable resistors may be connected to an operating button which enables the user to alter the speed of vibration for themselves).

In use the vaginal plug 12, in its uninflated form, is first of all inserted into the vagina. The vaginal plug 12 is then inflated by injecting hot water using a syringe (not shown) according to a user's preference. This allows the sexual aid 10 to be held in place without the need for straps or other restraints.

Claims

1. A sexual aid comprising an elongate member and at least a first and second protruding member mounted on said elongate member, wherein at least one of the said protruding members is inflatable.

2. A sexual aid according to claim 1 wherein the elongate member is a substantially cylindrical rod.

3. A sexual aid according to claim 2 wherein the cylindrical rod is about 10 to 20cm long and has a crosssectional diameter of about 2 to 8cm.

4. A sexual aid according to any preceding claim wherein the elongate member has an elastomeric or plastics outer layer or cover.

5. A sexual aid according to claim 4 wherein underneath the elastomeric or plastics cover, there are means for providing vibration.

6. A sexual aid according to claim 5 wherein the means for providing vibration are microelectric switches.

7. A sexual aid according to claim 6 wherein the microelectric switches are activated and deactivated using

a series of switches, resistors, motors and batteries.

8. A sexual aid according to any of claims 6 or 7 wherein the operational frequency of the microelectric switches are variable.

9. A sexual aid according to any preceding claim wherein the first protruding member is substantially spherical in shape and is inflatable.

10. A sexual aid according to any preceding claim wherein the first protruding member is inflatable by injecting a fluid into a channel connected to the spherical first member.

]1. A sexual aid according to any preceding claim wherein the first protruding member has a diameter of about 2 to 4cm in its uninflated form and a diameter of about 6 to 10cm in its inflated form.

12. A sexual aid according to any preceding claim wherein the second protruding member is bulbous in shape.

13. A sexual aid according to any preceding claim wherein the second protruding member is about 4 to 10cm long and about 2 to 6cm wide at its widest point.

14. A sexual aid according to any preceding claim wherein the elongate member and the at least first and second protruding members are formed from plastics materials.

15. A sexual aid substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
