Abstract

The cover comprises a body of gum, silicon or other material which in use increases the hoof's grip on the road or other hard surface. The cover 2 is attached to the hoof by twisting a metal wire around rings located at the rear of the cover and by screws 5 which may be screwed into a horseshoe 2. The cover may have metal inserts 3 located in the body.

Description

HORSE SLIPPER The invention is related horses shoes and consists in supports in various material and forms to apply to the horse hoof or to similar animals.
This kind of support call"horse slipper"increase the grip between the hard surfaces (ausfall, cement, ecc) and the horse hoof, secondary reduce the stress on the horse legs.
To ride a horse on a smooth surface, specially on a slope, could be dangerous if the horse doesn't find enough grip on the surface in contact this problem reduce the performance and the utility of the animal.
This invention consists in gum, or other similar material supports with various forms to apply to the horse hoof using or not using the traditional horseshoe.
An example is explained in the drawing number 1,2, 3,4 as follow: 1 This figure shows the lateral view of the horse slipper fitted on the horse hoof 2 This figure shows the front view of the horse slipper fitted on the horse hoof 3 This figure is the plant of the horse slipper 4 This drawing show the section A: A (see plant view) of the horse slipper and a way to fit it on the horse hoof.
In this case on the horse hoof is attached a traditional horseshoe built in aluminium with a big thickness.
This particular horseshoe has 3 holes with a tread in order to fix the horse slipper to the aluminium horseshoe using screws.
In order to increase the adherence of the horse slipper on the horse hoof in the top of the horse slipper is insert a metal wire with a ring in each end.
After the fitting, when the screws are tight on the horse shoe, passing a metal wire in side the two holes on the rear side of the slipper, an operator can pull the wire with a rotation of the two extremity using a simple pliers.
In the figure number 4 is showed then in side of the gum there are two metal supports in order to increase the mechanical characteristics of the horse slipper.
A horse slipper has body in gum, silicon or other material in order to increase friction on the road or other hard surface were the horse goes.
The horse slipper has various measure related to the horse hoof and the surface on the road can have various design.
In the figure number 4 the aluminium horse shoe is attached on the animal hoof with a traditional system (nails).
The horse slipper before the fitting has been open from the rear and then inserts it on the animal hoof.
The last operation is to tight the screws and then to tight the metal wire on the rear of the horse slipper.

Claims (4)

  1. CLAIMS 1 A horse slipper provide to increase the adherence and the grip between the horse hoof and the surface of contact
  2. 2 A horse slipper as claimed in claim 1 where in support mean that the principal part of the assembly is a part in gum or similar material with a specific form and dimensions
  3. 3 A horse slipper as claimed in clime 1 or clime 2, where screws and wire means that the horse slipper is removable.
  4. 4 A horse slipper is substantially as described herein with reference to figure 1-4 the accompanying drawing.
