Abstract

A cape-like cover 1, may be hung on a coat hook by means of a loop 2 affixed to the inside of the cover. When a coat is hung on the same coat hook, the sides of the protective cover can be wrapped around the coat and fastened by means of a fastener 3. The cover has a space 4 which can be marked for identification purposes. The fastener may be in the form of hook and loop tape, buttons, press studs, laces or a zip. The cover may be made of a supple material such as nylon, PVC or plastic. The cover, which may be produced in nylon, PVC or plastic, may be used to prevent the transfer of lice from one coat to another.

Description

Description Anti-louse cawcolla The invention regards the preventative protection of clothing/apparel, mainly coats and jackets, against the undesirable spread of lice in public areas such as play groups, (elementary) schools, swimming pools, sports clubs etcetera.
There is a national and international problem regarding lice. Resolving this problem causes great difficulty.
During the outbreak of an epidemic every pupil of a school should bring a plastic bag to cover their coats or jackets to prevent the spread. When it rains this is not for the benefit of the coat. Furthermore the bag should be buttoned up which is a complicated and time-consuming task for the youngest pupils (whereas the mothers are not with their children during breaks et cetera).
It is a fact that lice do not fly or jump, but can only spread by means of physical contact between humans or their clothing. The lice can live only on the scalp. Therefor collars, shawls and hats/caps et cetera are the most likely places for the lice to spread. The risk of spread will be increased because of the use of wardrobes, where coats usually hang next to each other. Campaigns are set up to resolve this problem and to find solutions.
The purpose of this invention is to offer a solution that will help to prevent spread of lice via clothing. The invention is an anti-louse cape/collar made of nylon, PVC or plastic or if desired could be made out of other materials as well. The anti-louse cape/collar can be hung on a coathook by way of a loop affixed to the inside of the cape/collar. The loop will be hung at about 5 centimetres under the collar on the inside of the cape. One hangs a coat over the same coathook as the loop of the anti-louse cape/collar.
Then one closes the cape/collar by affixing the two parts over the coat by way of a fastener made of velcro. Because of the anti-louse cape/collar the coat is bound which creates a space between the different coats and therefor eliminates the chance of spread. One can also fasten the collar/cape by means of a zip, poppers, buttons with buttonholes and laces.
The use of the anti-louse cape/collar will thoroughly contribute to the problem of spread of lice. This way it will help to prevent the spread and to exterminate the existent contamination's.
The cover will be at about 50 centimetres in length (if desired the size can vary in length and width) and is suitable for coats of either children or adults.
At the front the anti-louse cape/collar has a space so one can mark its own cape for recognition. The cover can be left hanging at the coathook.
The loop will be made of material but can also be made of cord et cetera.
Below an introduction to the drawings will follow.
Figures 1 and 2 show a front view of the anti-louse cape/collar (1) unfolded.
The loop (2) is attached at the inside of the cape at about 5 centimetres below the collar. Figure 2 shows that the loop can also be attached on the outside of the cape. On the outside of the anti-louse cape/collar on the fastening-side velcro male (3) and on the other fastening-side velcro female (3) is attached. The fastening-side has a space for recognizing one's own collar/cape (4).
Figure 3 shows the anti-louse cape/collar folded up.
One hangs the loop (2) at the coathook and the two folded ends are fastened with velcro.
The space for recognizing one's own cape/collar can be put on the anti-louse cape/collar (4).
