Reaping and mowing machines.- The cutting device of a reaping, mowing, and like machine consists of knives a with groups of teeth d<1>, six being shown on each knife, and each knife being formed with lugs a<1>, a<2> extending backwards into the channel c in which an endless chain e moves. The lugs a<2> are pivoted to the pivots of' the chain, and the lugs a<1> have pins a<3>; the pivots and the pins a<3> slide in grooves in the top and bottom inner sides of the channel c. The teeth d<1> coact with the usual finger pieces d.
