Abstract

A herbal composition comprises glucosamine and at least one Chinese herb selected from <I>Tripterygium wilfordii</I>. <I>Ligustrum lucidum</I> and <I>Erycibe schmidtii</I>. The herbal composition is useful for alleviating the symptoms of an ailment that involves the inflammation or degeneration of joint tissues, such as arthritis, and can be formulated into a dietary supplement or a pharmaceutical or veterinary composition.
