Abstract

A lifting/gripping tool consists of two rubber covered mild steel cams 3, fitted by means of bolts 4 and retention springs 5, attached to either end of a mild steel flat bar 'U' shaped lifting frame 2 with 'T' shaped handle at the top 1.

DESCRIPTION
The adjustable multi-grip handle consists of the following components as indicated on the drawings:- I - Mild steel cams (rubber covered) (3) bolted to mild steel lifting frame (4) (2) with lifting handle (1) attached.
2. The cams operate on springs (5) located on bolts (4) attached to lifting frame (2) passed through cams (3).
GENERAL The tool is designed to pick up products of varying widths from end application or from above.
BASIC APPLICATION When item (1) is pulled upwards, the cams (3) which are positioned either side of the product to be lifted roll upwards thus clamping the product securely.
CLAD4S Adjustable Multi Grip Handles 1. A hand lifting too] for lifting and transporting concrete lintels and kerbs.

Claims (1)

  1. 2. A lifting tool as claimed in Claim I where a metal flat bar 'U' frame
    with a tubular 'T' handle welded to the top, supports a metal cam fitted with a bolt and retention spring at each end.
    3. A lifting tool as claimed in Claim I which is attached over the external surfaces of lintels and kerbs from above, with the cams on each side for gripping.
    4. The lifting tool as claimed in any preceding claim whereupon upward pulling of the handle enables the two cams to roll upwards and lock against the side of the lintel or kerb.
