Abstract

The laser device includes means to clamp onto a profile and the laser itself may turn 360{ degrees. When the laser is switched on it sends out a beam in a horizontal line. The laser has a glass eye through which a beam projects to hit any object such as a traveler to give a level depth between the beam and ground. The laser can also be suspended on a string line by its lipped plate (figs. 1, 3, 4). The laser head may pivot about a horizontal axis as shown in figure 9.

Description

2363454 THE LAZER LEVEL MATE
Description
This invention is a lazer which beams out a horisontat line to the distance required. It gives acuret measurements and is used by ground workmen. Instead of using two people to get the measurements with my invention you will only need one and the job will be done quicker saving time.
My lazer sits on a provile (a provile is made of wood in the shape of a cross and is peged into the ground) when turned on the lazer gives off a horizontal lazer beam so people can get accuret measurements from a traveler or any other given gage set in front of the beam (A traveler is a long piece of wood about six foot. It can be free standing or handheld the traveler is used to get the measurements off a profile) My design of lazer assits the person who is setting out a job and trying to get acuret measurements in an area such as a road a trench and battering, The essential features of my lazer level is that it sits on a profile and it only needs one man to use it and to set it up. Also you can get an acuret reading from it. Also you can set it to the degrees required going upto 360' My invention the Lazer Level is made of plastic which can be any colour. It has a glass eye in the shape of a half fithty pence piece it is on the top half in the centre of the Lazer Level Mate this eye is where the lazer beams out giving a horisontal line. The glass lazer eye is moveable by pushing it with your fingers to give it a slanting position by doing this the glass lazer eye will be able to point in certain angles to give readings. Also it has rubber on the top half of the Lazer Level for easy grip also the user can turn it to different degrees My invention the Lazer Level Mate sits on a profile and when switched on with the users fingers it beams out a horizontal line, either pointing it downwards or straight to the distance required so the user can get the measurements required for the job. Ground workmen can measure the ground for certain jobs such as excuvators, digging and battering.
(Battering is a formation of a certain degree of a bankment) It beams to the distance required on to a traveler it is where the measurements are taken from the traveler to let you know if the ground is higher or lower as required Before I invented the lazer level mate two workmen were required using the profile and traveler to record measurements of the ground to raise it or lower it usings their eyes agaist the profile. But now my Lazer Level Mate only requires one man as it beams a horizontal straight line across to the traveler from the provile it sits on. Giving accurte measurements which they can work from to higher or lower the ground.
(a THE LAZER LEVEL MATE Figure I Demostrates the lazer beams spreading out in a horizontal straight line with continuity. It will go many meters across as well as in front of you.
Figure 2 A vertical view showing a hook on top of the lazer which can be hanged onto a string line.
Figure 3 This demostrates the plateing clamp which is sring loaded to slide backwards and forwards to clamp on, onto proviles ect.
Figure 4 Shows the top half of the lazer. Which can be turned 360' degrees by moving it with your fingers Figure 5 Shows the markings in degrees which can be turned by the user to the one which is reqired Figure 6 Shows the centre of the lazer where there is a cut which has a glass piece in the shape of a half fithty pence piece. This gives the lazer a conitinuity beam.
Figure 7 This demostrates the lazer siting on aprovile and beaming horizonaly at the traveler. Givingoff a slight line across the wood of the traveler which can now give you a reading Figure 8 This demostrates the lazer head in a straight formation giving off a beam in a horizonatal straight line Figure 9 Demostrates the lazer head from a side view, The user is able to slide it in an upward position with their fingers to allow the lazer eye to point downwards or straight giving off a horizontal straight line Figure 10 Demonstrates the lazer head from a front view but it does what is quoted in figure 9.
