Abstract

236,123. Haddan, R., (Masterench Corporation). Feb. 11, 1925. Pivoted-jaw wrenches; jaw faces.-A wrench comprises a handle 1 having two faces 8, 9, a pivot 4 close to the rear of the angle between these faces, and carrying a movable jaw having three faces 5, 6, 7, the faces 5 and 9 being in alignment when gripping large hexagonal nuts. For gripping smaller nuts a curved end face on the handle co-operates with two faces of the pivoted jaw, as in Fig. 3. A spring 10 urges the pivoted jaw to gripping position.
