Abstract

A cigarette containing tobacco rod (D) but also contains rod parts (B) which are substituted for less harmful yet smokable products. Another part (C) of the rod may contain a mixture of tobacco plus substitute, so the cigarette would take the preferred form of fig 3 wherein A is a filter. As the cigarette is smoked the tobacco content of the rod is lessened, and then substituted completely. Paper seals E may be used to join the separate portions.

2355643 Improved Cigarette This invention relates to a less harmfull

cigarette.

This invention relates to the excessive harm-done to the smoker caused by the habitual duration of smoking standard cigarettes.

What this invention does and the reason for it is to reduce the excessive harm--full effects caused by habitual duration damage.

According to the present invention this can be done by tubstituting parts of the tobacco rod for less harmfull products. This would give a lesser dose of tobacco but still an adequate amount. This means the essential features would be the use of tobacco substitute.-rod along with tobacco rod.

It would be important to use a portion of rod containing a mixture of substitute tobacco and tobacco. this would be a diluted tobacco portion. A standard type filter section is also an important feature.

e A spcific: embodiment of the invention,.will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1 shows the cigarette made primarily from two rods of different smokable contents. These are tobacco substitute and tobacco. Parts B and D Figure 2 shows the use of multiple portions of rod throughout the cigarette. It also shows the inclusion of the diluted tobacco portion.    1 A cigarette made in part from tobacco rod and part. from tobacco substitute rod. Figure I part B and D 2 a cigarette as claimed in claim I.Wherein thei-tobacco substitute portion is a nonharmful or very much less harmfuk. alternative to tobacco.

   3 A cigarette as claimed in claim I wherein tobacco substitute could be a herbal alternative.

   4 A cigarette as claimed in claim 1 to also include the plural permutations with the use of multiple portions in relation to each:. nother. Figure 2 part B and D A cigarette as claimed in claim 4 to include another portion type this portion would be a mixture of both tobacco and tobacco substitute to form a dilute tobacco portion. Figure 2 part c 6 A cigarette as claimed in claim 5 to include a standard filter section.
