Abstract

A box section crash barrier hand lifting tool comprises four pieces of metal tube welded together in a square formation 1, with metal 'U'-shaped bolts 3 attached to the underside of the bottom tube. A right angled lifting handle 2 is attached to the centre of the bottom tube and extends vertically therefrom. In use, the tool is inserted into the crash barrier so that the 'U'-shaped bolts fit on an upwardly extending flange on the crash barrier, and then the tool is pulled upwards so that the frame locks against the top of the crash barrier.

2351690 DESCREPTION The box section crash barrier lifting tool consists of
the following components as indicated on the drawings:1. Mild steel tube support frame welded to Item 2. 2. Mild steel tube pull handle. Item 3 3. Locating and holding mild steel 'T bolts welded to Item 1.
GENERAL The tool is designed to pick up box section road crash barrier. When inserted into the barrier the U bolts are positioned on the bottom flange with the support frame reaching inwards. The handle is angled down to allow for top heavy tilting by the box section. When the handle is pulled upwards the support frame locks on the underside of the box section and the handle assumes a horizontal position for carrying.

2. A lifting tool as claimed in Claim 1 where metal tubing is welded together to form a frame with U bolts welded to the bottom and a right angled tubular lifting handle welded in the bottom corner.
3. A lifting tool as claimed in Claim 1 which inserts into the box barrier with the V bolts located at the bottom.
4, The lifting tool as claimed in any preceding claim whereupon upward pulling of the tubular handle the frame locks against the top of the box barrier.
