Abstract

In a reservoir toothbrush, water or mouthwash is urged by a spring-biassed piston from the reservoir to be jetted from among the bristles. The spring is compressed by pulling the piston to the distal end of the reservoir using a ring pull on the piston rod, a notch in the rod releasably engaging a spring clip at the distal end. Rod rotation effects release from the clip. A valve controls liquid flow to the brush head.

DESCRIPTION.
Tooth and mouthwash spray.
This invention relates to a tooth and mouthwash spray.
A container aprox., 12cm.jong x 3cm., in diam., Fig 1 with a screw on hollow tube toothbrush Fig 2 at the bottom of the bristles are a series of holes Fig 3 from which water or mouthwash is forced,by a spring loaded washer Fig 9 when valve Fig 4 is opened.
In side the container is a rod Fig 5 with a ring pull at one end Fig 6 and a stop Fig 7 at the other end a notch in the rod near to the stop Fig 8 and a washer Fig 9. a spring surrounds the rod Fig 21.
At the rear of the container there is a clip Fig 10 sealed into the rear casing Fig 11 the ring pull is used to pull the rod back to the rear of the conainer so the notch in the rod locks on to the clip fig 13 in the closed position Fig 14.
The toothbrush is unscrewed Fig 2 water or mouthwash is poured into the now open container when full the toothbrush is screwed back on to the container.
The rod now protruding at the rear of the container is give half a turn with the ring pull unlocking the clip Fig 15 and pushed in to the container Fig 16, the device is now ready for use.
Toothpaste can be applied to the top of the bristles and teeth can be brushed in the normal way, then by operating a valve Figs 17 19 20 by moving a knob Fig 4 on top of the brush casing the valve is opend half way Fig 19 or full Fig17 when the knob is moved back the water is shut off.
