Abstract

A non-consumable electrode for arc processes comprises a cooled casing (1) and an insert (2) of an active material mounted inside it. The insert (2) has a figured profile and its cross-section has the form of a multi-pointed star, whereas the diameter of the circumference (7) inscribed in it equals that of a cylindrical insert corresponding to the desired arc current.
