Abstract

Methods and apparatus for liquid filtration and in particular to the recycling of ''grey water''. It also includes related methods and flocculation agents. The apparatus (14) consists in a ''grey water'' inlet (18), an oil trap (19), flow equalisation tank (20), a coagulation tank (21), a sedimentation tank (22), an upflow filter (23), a downflow filter (24), a disinfectant tank (25), and a storage tank (26). The upflow filter (23) and downflow filter (24) contain layers of flexible foam plastics. Methods of achieving filtration are described as are particular flocculation agents.
